We stayed 3 nights at this campground and we loved every minute of it. We stayed at a site backing up to the river. The river is shallow and swimmable. Lots of walking/ cycling paths. The sites are large with lots of shade. Flush toilets in the main shower house and showers and firewood are free. No fire bans ever due to their watering schedule. Camp caretaker Gary is an excellent host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Cell phone service is sketchy which made our stay even more memorable! There’s an off leash dog park about 2km away by the Trout pond. My pooch had a great time too.
This campground is surrounded by big trees and beside Oldman River. Each site has electric but no water or sewer. There is a Sami-dump at the entrance of the campground. The campsites are spacious. We love how close it is to the amenities in Taber. Definitely surprise to find this gem in the midst of farm land. The playground is great.
No water/ sewer on lots BUT available upon entry/exit. No WiFi or cell service except near Office. Very clean and quiet while we were there
What a fantastic campground! All of the sites are very spacious and have some shade. Some back onto the river edge. The showers are free. There is a huge day use area. The campground is very close to the town of Taber where you can access groceries etc. There is no cell coverage.
If you are looking for a great place to stay you must check out the Tabor municipal campground. The sites are massive, place is very clean, huge amount of biking and walking trails, clean shower house, large mature trees, close to a river and the staff are excellent.
