(June 30, 2018, 4:10 pm)It's not a fish farm. It's a federal government salmon enhancement facility. It rears millions of Chinook, coho and steelhead salmon for release into the wild to be caught by sport, commercial and first Nations fisheries. The salmon released also feed bears, eagles, orcas and other wildlife. The hatchery fish take pressure off of wild salmon, so increasing their survival and sustainability.
