I had the tempeh tacos, kids shared fries and my husband had the Tsunami Salad with chicken. Everything was beautifully presented and insanely delicious - some of the best fries I've *ever* had! “Stopped by for tacos from the Kraken food truck and ice cream from Dellas. We had two fish and two pork tacos and they were delicious. The guy working in the truck was super nice and made some great suggestions. After tacos we grabbed ice cream from Dellas. The young people working there were also really friendly. Great service. If you are at Sproat Lake or on your way to Tofino, this is a great place to stop.”

“Heard a lot about the Drinkwaters Lounge and finally tried it out. Pretty disappointing. View is nice. Fish and chips was average. Pulled pork Mac and cheese was below average. Old fashioned was average. Saw that they are charging $30 for..... Nachos. And an extra $10, if you want meat on them. Pretty wild pricing. Also saw so many dead little flies on the window sill beside us. Counted over 20. When we notice stuff like that you wonder how dirty other places in the restaurant are.”

“We had a wonderful time at this lodge. Cheryl and Brian and Mel and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We were picked up at the dock and us and our luggage were taken to the lodge. The next day we had a tour booked with the Kiixin first nations across the bay and Cheryl took us across in her little boat. One of us was 89 and getting around Bamfield was difficult for her to go up and down the steep hills but the staff at McKay bay drove us to wherever we needed to go. The meals were amazing!!! breakfast lunch and dinner were all fantastic and it was great to have lots of drinks and home baked cookies and snacks available to all guests throughout the day. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the beds very comfortable. The view from the deck is great.”

“We spent two days at this lodge and we were not fishing but we had a wonderful time. The lodge is gorgeous with a bright spacious dining room and ocean side patio. There are two hot tubs and we really enjoyed soaking in them for hours looking at the ocean and view. Our room was clean and spacious and the beds were very comfy. Ashley, David , Davin, Bob and Michael all went out of their way to make us comfortable and were able to shuttle us to Brady beach, to the boardwalk and to the dock on many occasions which was really appreciated. The meals were fantastic David is an excellent chef.”

“We just moved to Port Alberni and this is one of the best pizza places we've ever tried. It's worth noting that the toppings are SO ample that the crust is floppy... That's how you know you're getting your money's worth though. The jalapeno ranch dip is actually spicy too. If you like your pizza with a mountain of toppings this is the place to go. It was delivered fresh out of the oven, still very hot. You can't beat the price for what you get. I honestly think those leaving bad reviews have no clue what pizza should be like. 5 stars from our family.”
