Surprised how clean and quiet the hotel was. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when I wanted extra blankets. The bed was very comfy. Lots of pillows. Very clean inside the room and carpets seem brand new. There is an ice machine. The hot tub and pool were great. There are pool towels. There is a small but new gym. The lobbyist is decorated for the season. They are really trying to put on a good product. Lost one star because the EV charger outside didn't charge the car properly. But that was not the fault of the hotel. The staff came out and tried their best to figure out what was wrong. We will definitely stay there again.
We would have tried the breakfast but we had to get out of the hotel by 7:00 and that is when breakfast starts. Looks like a really good deal of a breakfast buffet for $10
Is it perfect? No.... but this little town tries hard and this is a nice, well kept property. People are fantastic and welcoming. Breakfast is served for a minor add on fee daily and I was surprised by the offerings. Gas station, convenience store and Laundromat are across the street. Walking distance to bank, pharmacy and groceries as well as Tim Hortons. I enjoy it here and will definitely stay here again.
The breakfast was superb! Great quality and a decent price. I definitely will recommend it to people visiting Port Alberni. Janet in the kitchen is making everything from scratch. No fake food here! Yummy pancakes, great bacon, real eggs, good coffee. All served by a cheerful host.
I stay in a lot of hotels and motels, but this place was one of my favorites! It's very budget friendly, yet the staff make you feel welcome and the atmosphere is inviting. The pool and hot tub were awesome and the rooms were on par with a best Western. Everything was clean and quiet( except for our neighbours, but that wasn't the Inns fault)
I was just sad to see that the restaurant wasn't open. That would have made it perfect.
Try this place if you stop in Port Alberni. We enjoyed it so much!
