Obviously this is for campsites. Absokutely beautiful location on Barkley sound. Would be an awesome start to kayaking the Broken Group Islands. The only downside is the road is terrible right now, but they were working on improving it while we were there.
Definitely not for glampers, but if you are looking for a campsite away from it all with a view of Barkley Sound, this is a great place!
They are in the middle of expansion and will be bigger and better soon with more sites and services. The logging road is in great condition and looks to be upgrading too as the local First Nation is upgrading their infrastructure.
Site staff were very friendly but not overly knowledgeable. Site is very clean and well maintained but some site users were woefully not "bear aware". (More guidance from staff could help.) Limited cell service on site but there is wifi at the site office if you need it.
Pretty nice spot, camp sites are meh and pretty close together. They have no portable water which would have been good to know as I was on a motorcycle and can only carry so much. I was expecting g to fill my water when I got there. Luckily I had the technology to filter water so I pulled from a nearby stream.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially the front desk girl. Owned by the local First Nation, so I was happy to support the business. Still pretty rough, but the place has a lot of potential.
We 've been ( my partner and i) beggining of june to camp at the kayak launch, we tried the new wood platforms to camp, with an amazing view on the sea. This place is a little paradise, perfect night to camp and perfect place to do some kayak on the morning ! Trever is really really nice ! We will definitly come back to this place next time we go near Tofino.
There is a gravel road, but it really worth the drive ! If you plan to camp at the kayak launch, be autonom and bring your water and gas cooker.
Perfect for independant campers if you are clean !!
See you soon hopefully !
