Oak Haven Park

Quiet park, great for dogs and nice view of Keating Valley. Steeper climb from Benvenuto, or less incline from Garden Gate entrance (which is the only garbage bin).

Great walk and views

This small park is a preserved natural area, intended to protect a Garry Oak ecosystem. It is full of flowers in the spring, with plenty of interest the rest of the year. It is a good area for birdwatching and photography; there are some views from the summit. The walking is easy for the most part, with a few steeper sections, and the occasional muddy patch in wet weather. Limited parking is available in a pull-out on the uphill side of Benvento Avenue (next to 1185 Benvento - no sign, so easy to miss!).
