“We did the Scenic Saturna by Sea Kayak tour this past weekend with Fred and Ruth and had an incredible time! The tour took us along the most stunning rock cliffs where we saw some of the famous Saturna goats! On the way back we were kayaking as the sun set behind us, truly a special experience. Fred and Ruth were so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable on the water. I would highly recommend the tour, it was the highlight of our trip :) Thanks!”

“Beautiful Scenery and a Real Accomplishment! Booked a 6-hour tour for my group of 12 people. We lucked out with weather and 2 fantastic guides to tour us around Galiano Island. They were informative, patient, and fun! Only feedback is the tour was a lot of paddling straight out and straight back. Not enough time spent popping in/out of coves or along beaches. This is in part due to the Galiano coastline, but I think the route could have been shortened with more opportunity to stop and take our time. We were absolutely exhausted by the end, but we had a great time and felt very accomplished!”

“This is a nice setting of rustic cottages next to the sea . The cottages are on an overgrown acreage and they definitely need work, but inside they are clean and cozy. Very nostalgic with original 60s fixtures and amenities. Even the pool looks like it's from the 50/60s era. The kitchen includes most things you'd expect. They also supply fresh beans, grinder, and a Boddum (nice touch). Don't forget to bring your own cream and sugar as you won't find any there. I take mine black and the coffee was great. If you are hoping for a peaceful time, you'd better check to see who else will be there when you are. During our visit, a group of 6 was in the 2 bdr cottage. This included a baby that screamed almost non-stop each afternoon. This party of 6, with screaming infant, monopolized the pool all afternoon for the 2 days we were there. Shame about that. But instead we visited to whole island. It's a nice little drive with a few interesting restaurants and pubs to enjoy. Not to mention the many parks and trails. Our deck, with a lovely view wasn't habitable during the afternoons, so we opted for the amazing sunset instead. The cottages have a nice western exposure to take advantage of those wonderful evenings. I'm sure it could be a great vacation spot. Although, it fell just a bit short for us.”

She makes sure you've got all the equipment you need to head out on your adventure. The prices are very reasonable for the service that you get. I would not hesitate to recommend Dog Mermaid Eco Excursions to anyone who is visiting Pender Island!”
