Boom + Batten Restaurant & Cafe

We have now been twice to this lovely restaurant and both experiences were highly enjoyable. The food was all delicious and beautifully presented and the staff were attentive and welcoming. Can’t wait to visit again!

First time at Boom + Batten is a night that wont be soon forgotten. One of the most beautiful rooms I have ever eaten in only to be topped by one of the best meals I have ever had. Service was on point all night and even had a visit from the Chef to explain the dishes. The chocolate mousse was hands down the best dessert I have ever tasted. Will certainly be coming back!

Four days into the soft launch the menu service is still incomplete. Chicken is notably missing, as are any cocktails from their cocktail list. Dishes such as the rabbit terrine are bland. The gnocci was excellent, all other dishes were underwhelming. Atmosphere was lightly energetic.

We enjoyed our lunch here and really appreciate the fact that they have gluten free options for a Celiac member of the family. The restaurant is beautifully designed with gorgeous harbour/marina views from every seat. Pizzas are great and the GF version was surprisingly tasty as well. There were a few hiccups in the service but that’s to be expected in a new restaurant. By the way, the baked yogurt dessert is incredible !! We highly recommend this place!

I've enjoyed seeing it evolve as I walk past on my lunchtime walks. Looking forward to it being open (when is that??) and maybe putting some pertinent information in this review once I've dropped by!
