“It's not the tents makimg this park look bad, its the cleaners not bothering to turn the lights back on on the bathrooms and not bothering to fix the hand dryer along with the fact they take weeks to just collect piles of leaves. This is bylaw not putting in the initiative and instead bullying the tenters”

“Lovely one acre garden, tucked away in a residential neighborhood. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. No entrance fee, but donations encouraged. Parking on the street. Volunteers greet you and answer questions in the garden. Tea House in the former home. Lucked out for an opening for afternoon tea, but reservations encouraged. $55 per person. There is also a four course tea, elevenses, and a few extra add-ons available. The three course afternoon tea with a pot of tea of your choice is $54. Very tasty and beautifully presented. Friendly service, lovely setting. Be warned there are lots of annoying wasps on the terrace that swarm the tea tray even with a napkin draped over the tiers. There is indoor seating available as well. Restroom/washroom inside by hostess stand and next to the gift store.”

“Great playground, not sure why it needed to be caged, plus one of the handles is broken so can only access the playground at one corner.”

“This is a sweet little park aimed at young children. There is a picnic table and bench but you will need to walk in from parking on the main road. Hidden in this neighbourhood, there is a climbing gym, swings and other small pieces of equipment. Very nice.”

“Thanks again, Darwin, for making the start and end of our family vacation worry- free and fun. For the second time you have provided us with a reliable service to and from the airport for which we are most grateful. Hope to use your services again soon. Have a successful year! “Great playground. Has a zipline swing that my oldest loves and a play structure made for little children that my youngest enjoys. The sand pit with the "buried eggs" is a lot of fun for my littles too. I would give it 5 stars but parking is tough to find and it's only fenced on 3 sides... why have gates on one side with a whole other side wide open?”

“I enjoyed the facilities and the pool at Juan De Fuca Rec. Also Kids Cottage was great for my child.”

“This is one of the best dog parks to take your dog too! There are good groups of people in the early part of the day and the latter half of the evening to socialize both dogs and humans. I would rate this park at a 5 overall except for the fact that the city of Victoria saturates the lawn throughout the year. It makes it always Lush and green, but there are times where it's excessively wet.”

“Beautiful little park between Shelbourne and Emerson st. Recently it was given some well-deserved TLC from the local community association and city of Victoria. This is one of the two most common bike path walk through from Shelbourne to Richmond that many Jubilee Hospital employees take to work everyday.”

“Love this beautiful little park. There are protected Gary Oak trees, along with a community and city managed garden and natural environmental restoration area. Lots of wildlife calls this area home and many people use the path as a cut through on bike or walking to work. The little black cat in the area is named Ella and there’s many deer and crows”

“My concert band and I just did a concert here and while the park was absolutely beautiful, whoever was in charge of removing the gate from the band dome didn't do their job. we had to perform standing on the grass in front of the benches which sucked, as I'm a French horn player. but yeah, other than that, the park itself was beautiful and there were giant herons nesting in the canopy all around us which was neat”

“I visited the park today and here are my thoughts: Pro: -The play structure has a good variety of things to play on, as well as some swings, tree stumps to climb along and a sand box with donated toys. A big plus if you don't always remember to bring your own toys. -It is mostly fenced off with a gate aside from the side on sleepy Clawthrope Ave. Con: -No parking close by. We walked with a stroller, but another mom came in a car and could only find residential parking. She ended up parking down at Hillside Mall. -No bathroom nearby, which is important if you have a preschooler or younger children potty training. The closest is Hillside Mall or Cedar Hill Rec Centre. -Potentially noisy. The park sits right next to North Dairy Rd, so over time the traffic could get annoying.”

“It looks more exciting than it really is for kids. There is a nice walking trail and a decent amount of parking but the play structure wears thin pretty quickly with kids.”

“Well it is a shady oasis in the Legislative Precinct. This park has flush toilets and a water fountain. There is a playround for kids. The Sequoia Trees in this park are more than 150 years old, and while not native to the region now tower over this shady enclave. There is also a spiral round about meditation walk for the spiritually inclined. One just asks a question at the outside of the maze, and by the time one arrives in the middle, the answer has revealed itself. Otherwise, this is a fine place for a picnic. Food service outlets, Kosher, too are all around this park. It is a lovely place to visit.”

“A tiny little park with about 6 to 8 parking spots with access to the beach and the Songhees Walkway. You can also go down a set of stairs during low tide and explore these small hills that look like they used to be connected with a small bridge a long time ago as there are footings there. Does anyone know the history of this place and what it used to be like here?”

“Quite excellent especially to introduce your children to manning a boat, using oars etc. There’s only one bathroom and one of them tended to be cleaner than the other but being close to MyChosen Cafe is nice because you make one final stop before you arrive or you can eat at the restaurant or feed your kids snacks and things on the way back either way it’s an even and a blast for sure. If you haven’t been you should at least go once. The drive is also beautiful.”

“We travel a lot and could not be happier with this resort. We got a apartment for 6 days and it was amazing. Very clean and modern!. The food was great and the pool was a excellent way to keep my kids occupied. I would highly recommend booking with this resort.”

“Such a beautiful getaway nestled inside a neighborhood. The water is so clear and clean that you could see different hues of blue throughout the water. Just a short walk from parking the car. Neighborhood kids had their bikes and floating devices all set up for a day of chilling in the sun. Plenty of places for shade as well. Fishing looks to be a good time waster here too as we saw about 3 or 4 people with rods. I recommend that you go check it out but don't tell too many people, this is just between us..”
