“Uptown Movers came to our rescue today. Yesterday we closed on our first home purchase. It started snowing a couple days before our closing and by yesterday we had over a foot of snow. Then yesterday our elevator broke down. The other movers we had scheduled didn’t want to move us down 4 floors and advised us to cancel. Then we found out that the elevator was leaking hydraulic fluid and will likely be out for a month or longer. Christmas is in 3 days. And I was crushed. I reached out on Facebook and someone from Uptown Movers said to call and they would make the move happen for us. I couldn’t believe that they were willing to do that for us! Not only was it 3 days before Christmas, our parking was horribly filled with snow and we were four floors up with no elevator and tiny stairwells!!! The elevator company ended us calling us last minute and telling us that they would open the elevator for our move but no people were allowed in which saved us a lot of work, but I have no doubt that they would have moved us down all of those stairs. I can not tell you how grateful I am to Uptown Movers!! Thank you guys to the moon and back. I will recommend you to everyone I know. Your guys are professional kind and more than willing to go the extra mile. I am very grateful!”

“AMJ Campbell has been by far my best moving experience in Victoria. We contacted a few moving companies for our move to Calgary and AMJ was the only one who was responsive, gave us a quick turnaround on quotes and were also able to give a relatively short arrival window in Calgary. Glynis was fantastic to deal with and called the day before the move, asking how things were going, if we needed any boxes, etc. Their quote wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive and I just got a very good impression from them so that’s the one I picked. The movers were also amazing. They arrived on time, wrapped everything with care, disassembled furniture, inventoried every box and piece of furniture, and were friendly. We were beyond happy with how they handled the move. I rarely write reviews but they made what has been a very stressful inter-provincial move much easier and I cannot say enough positive things. I hope my experience in Calgary and the move in is the same!”

“We hired Burley Men to move out of Victoria to mid-Island. When they got to our new place, the long driveway was way too steep for their giant moving truck to turn onto without bottoming out. Best they could do was park the truck at the main highway maybe about 100m down the hill. Let me tell you, they were amazing - we used all sorts of creative ways to get our boxes and furniture up the long steep hill and they were cheerful and positive the whole time and after 6 hours of this (plus the few hours of loading and driving) in 30C heat they were still bounding up the hill with dolly carts full of boxes and furniture as if they had endless energy. I was so impressed, I can't believe how great they were about it. Just fantastic guys. Thanks go to Paul and Mike who were so incredibly resourceful and helpful and professional and positive and cheerful and awesome about the whole situation. I wouldn't hesitate to call 2 Burley Men again, this was our second time using them and they have been amazing both times now.”
