Spooktacular show at Halloween was the best! Adults scary trail and a not scary trail for small children and toddlers.
It was nice but it was all a bit fresh and new. It really lacked a lot of historic feel to it. The displays were nice, Lots of cool stuff. The cafe wasn't the greatest but good enough.
Just went to the Spooktacular with my 1 and 3 year old, the staff and volunteers were amazingly helpful and some of them remembered my kids and kept up conversations keeping my little ones engaged throughout the evening, we had so much fun! And those onions on the hotdogs... So good!
Dinner theatre was very well done. Great acting, it was funny and well performed. There are mosquitoes but they provide bug spray. Would be great to include museum entry with the dinner theatre ticket price. Got to walk around the last hour but some places were closed already. Also, some parts of the village were still being put together. It was pretty cool to see how they are created. This is a great place to visit.
Very interesting. We stayed a couple of hours but you can do it in about one hour also. Some of the buildings are not open but it seems that they are still renovating. We had a short school lesson in the original building and a tour in the house where Mr Haney lived with his family. Nice guide who did not know everything but enough to let us get a feeling how the people lived 100 years ago.
