“Was asked to write details on my experience by the owner as to why I would give them 3 stars out of 5 - 2 months after they closed for the season. I’m commenting 2 months after you closed for the season because I’ve been busy. I guess you close Aug 31? Anyway, I was there in August and i took two stars off because: There are no meal bundles. You have to buy everything separate. So for a burger and fries and a drink all bought separate costs around $20 bucks!!!!!! And that’s for a small basic fry, the cheapest burger on the menu, and a small fountain pop. That is CRAZY expensive. Would be nice to see options and meal deals. I was on the beach after we ate and got talking to another couple who brought it up to us saying they can never buy lunch there because it’s way to much for her, her husband and 3 kids. I agree. They make it impossible to get an affordable lunch. Not everyone has $100 to drop for 5 burgers, 5 small fries and 5 sodas. Should be options for more affordable burgers and fries. Some people will still opt for the better burger and the better fries but not everyone has that kind of money. My husband and I go out for expensive meals sometimes and don’t mind spending money on great food but when your at the beach it’s nice to have options for price friendly snacks. I did give 3/5 stars because the burger was really good! The fries were freshly cooked. So there’s that.”

“I live here and I go here every day. It’s wonderful to walk around in, with a broad variety of wildflowers and fungi, with my personal favourites, Maianthemum Racemosum and Clematis Occidentalis. I’ve only seen coyotes a few times, and found actual drugs even fewer which is very refreshing for the shuswap.”

“Very friendly owner greeted us, allowed our friends to visit as long as they registered and the cleanest washrooms I have ever seen. It was a delight staying here. I think our neighbours were long time stays and they were most accomodating lifting their awning for us to open the slide. Delightful people.”

“Had a chance to visit with relatives and enjoy the lake life for a week! Staff secured us a great spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Very pleasant neighbours and the price was great. Granted, being that close to the railroad tracks; I now miss being rocked to sleep some nights...lol. It’s funny how fast a person becomes accustomed to a bit of background noise. We enjoyed the welcoming community, walking the dogs daily, visiting with friends/family, time out on the lake and a bit of sight seeing as well.”

Breakfast is super reasonable just remember to add to your stay so she's prepared, parking available right in front also if you need a room with a private bath just request when you book. “Great place to take the family for the weekend. They are very family oriented, they have a petting zoo for everyone. However the petting zoo is unsupervised, so make sure keep and eye on your kids and enter at one's own risk. Most of the animals are pretty friendly, if your a fan of farm animals you will love it there. There is a store inside with a deli, lots of local fruits and veggies. Fresh jams and jellies, juice's and other things made from fruit, by local farmers and fruit growers. There is also a wide range of fresh fruit from around the valley. The bakery is great and the sell pies from the Shuswap pie company which are just amazing, definitely go for the strawberry rhubarb. They also have an antique store and gift store with local artists selling objects and paintings. It is definitely a place worth visiting, if your looking bro get out for the day and go for a drive if you live in the valley. If your from far away it's still a good destination if your going to be in the area for a short or long stay.”

“What a delightful little shop! Stopped in on a whim and we were delighted by what we found. Such an incredible assortment of delicious preserves (all grown right there on their farm), and we picked up some eggs, sausages, and a bit of fresh produce as well. Everything is delicious and priced well, the owners were so lovely to chat with - this will be a new required stop every time we’re in the area!”
