Leeward Cafe

Friendly service and nice space. Didn’t try the pastries but they are from True Grain Bakery so they are likely great. Unfortunately the barista did not seem to have a great grasp on coffee drinks or steaming milk. There was no micro foam at all and she scooped the macro foam out with a spoon. (Old school) Coffee roast was decent in flavor but the coffee drinks overall were not good.

Great place, setting coffee and lunch, and they get their bread from the adjacent (co-owned) bakery.

What’s not to like?

Brand new and very tastefully decorated, that fits in with the culture of Cowichan Bay, and built out over the water. The food is very tasty as well - delicious salad, sandwiches and quiche.
We've always appreciated Mara's approach and conscientious selection of ingredients.
Very worthwhile to drop in and have a meal!

A treasure of a cafe with an amazing staff, great coffee and delicious food. The sunlit terrace and the beautiful nautical themed interior were just what we needed to find comfort

Great vibe, service, coffee and beautiful interior! Nice to have a substantial breakfast sandwhich in the Valley.
