“This is another one of those reastutaunts I've always come to as a child but stopped as I got older. I went back to see if anything changed and it hadn't. I ordered the Vicky burger and orange pop. The food came pretty dang fast which is great. The fries seemed frozen and a little bit overdone, but the burger makes up for any issue I had with the fries. The bun was soft and a bit chewy just like how I like my buns and the sauce used was delicious My order was about 20 dollars in total and that's a pretty good price if you ask me. This is another resturaunt you should definitely try if you're visiting Duncan”

“Yes, this is the only place that standing in line is the only option...and you are always willing to do so once you have...you will stand in line again for the pleasure of this excellent board of delicacies; pizzas, salads, desserts, coffees, teas, and other bakery delights! I forgot to say...organic, locally sourced, and inventive food products; ready to serve or take out to eat.”

“Good coffee and delicious ice-cream at low cost; however, staff wasn't nice at all. There were only us and another customer at that time and two girls serving so the shop wasn't busy at all. We didn't finish ordering and the lady behind the counter kept running away from us, rolling eyes and showing her frustration that we spent 1 minute on deciding what 3 pieces of ice-cream to get. I hope our next experience will be little more positive, the shop was amazing and had cozy ambience.”

“Now called Nic’s Cafe and Book Nook , this coffee shop is under new ownership. The new owner Nicole is extremely friendly, outgoing and pleasant. The cafe has undergone some new changes such a paint and freshening up. There are fresh sweet treats each day amongst the would be expected coffees and teas. There is relaxing seating available both in and out as well as a few comfy arm chairs. I am unsure if this books will be staying but at this point there is a great selection of used books for sale.”

“Friendly service and nice space. Didn’t try the pastries but they are from True Grain Bakery so they are likely great. Unfortunately the barista did not seem to have a great grasp on coffee drinks or steaming milk. There was no micro foam at all and she scooped the macro foam out with a spoon. (Old school) Coffee roast was decent in flavor but the coffee drinks overall were not good.”

“A hidden gem with lovely owners who care about supporting local. Really great food, and coffee drinks with a beautiful covered patio and I was able to bring my dog. The public market is full of cute boho farm style stalls also operates on Sat from the same property. I love the cute church. Can't wait to go back for one of their dinner events.”

“I vistied for the first time to check it out, and I definitely have to say I'm impressed! While I can't speak for the fitness aspect, as I just got some food and a drink, I was very happy with the service I got. Friendly staff, a reasonably sized menu, an assortment of baked items, and vegan options for those who would need them. Not to mention the biodegradable packaging. Both the drinks and the food tasted very good, and the interior was aesthetically pleasing and had an inviting atmosphere. Definitely recommend.”

“Ordered the latest iced honey comb lavender latte and crumb coffee cake to go. Fresh and delicious cake. The honey comb had just the right amount of sweetness while the lavender flavour was not too soapy or cloying. Efficient barista and cashier typical of Starbucks location everywhere.”

“Well, what can I say about McDonald's that hasn't already been said 10 million times over? Okay let's cut to the chase: as my father would have said about this food in general, "Well, you can eat it..." McDonald's is of course the epitome of both "fast food" and minimal service wait times. But this doesn't make it better, nevermind best. All it does is make it first in sales overall, because your guaranteed a reliable standard, even if it is minimal.”

“Brand new coffee shop that just opened in sunny Saltair along Chemainus Road. So far so good as this is a prime location for locals, tourists, cyclists and even hikers/runners on the nearby Canada (Great) Trail. The building is open and inviting in a very west coast feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, my dirty chai latte was great. Coffee Shack has only been open 3 days now and from the look of things will be a much loved location popular with the locals. It should also be noted they have a gelato partnered business that just opened in the same location sharing the space. So for now let’s shoot for a 5 out of 5 and see where things go.”
