Beautiful riverside walk nature surrounds you with sounds, wildlife and fresh air. Will be back many times, kids loved it and the dogs had a great time. Be warned though it is in the bush and be prepared to see some wildlife

Great river for swimming and relaxing. It's a little tougher to get to the interesting sections, but that just keeps them interesting. I'm personally a fan of the forestry pools, and the sections of the river near them. I've been fortunate enough to see owls and bears at the chemainus river (with the latter being a very calm and safe "encounter". The river is quite long, and has lots of cool places dotted all along it.
