“Now called Nic’s Cafe and Book Nook , this coffee shop is under new ownership. The new owner Nicole is extremely friendly, outgoing and pleasant. The cafe has undergone some new changes such a paint and freshening up. There are fresh sweet treats each day amongst the would be expected coffees and teas. There is relaxing seating available both in and out as well as a few comfy arm chairs. I am unsure if this books will be staying but at this point there is a great selection of used books for sale.”

“I vistied for the first time to check it out, and I definitely have to say I'm impressed! While I can't speak for the fitness aspect, as I just got some food and a drink, I was very happy with the service I got. Friendly staff, a reasonably sized menu, an assortment of baked items, and vegan options for those who would need them. Not to mention the biodegradable packaging. Both the drinks and the food tasted very good, and the interior was aesthetically pleasing and had an inviting atmosphere. Definitely recommend.”

“Absolutely amazing!!! Not sure how anybody would give this place a poor review. Repeat customer for life!!! Staff is amazing food is served fresh. The best food I have ever had on van island. Julie and staff were so accommodating to myself and my family. I would highly recommend this place not only for cafe service but also for catering. Cant wait to travel from Calgary again to indulge . “Super friendly, lovely place to go to chill with a coffee and a book- although we just had a quick lunch stop- tasty bagel and a coffee, definitely could have stayed longer if time had allowed. Great selection of loose leaf teas and the specials sounded delicious!”
