Shady people and shady owner....went there to see a friend...owner came out freaking out....dont park my car in my friends parking space.....what are you doing here? Buddy: not everyone is in there being shady....posed by my license plate while he took a picture to give to the local police.....told him straight up..."you probably have a longer police record then I do......one dui.....15 years ago....period....end of story....guaranteed he has theft charges, assault charges.......maybe I should take a picture if his plate stating I saw it driving in and out of a suspicious location constantly....huh? Think of that buddy......YOUR PLACE IS SHADY.....QUIT BUGGING PEOPLE.....MAKES YOU EVEN SHADIER”

“My photographer buddy, Daniel and I, rented both the beautiful royal room and cottage for the day a few years back for a full day of photo sets. The lady was absolutely lovely and accommodating, and the rooms were a dream. I'm back now to write this review because I'm considering once again renting a room for the day. Highly recommend for both models and travellers! Chemanius is a beautiful town and this piece of property is the right fit to experience it all.”

“Came down to Chemainus for a conference in Duncan and was very impressed with this hotel. The breakfast (included in room rate) was excellent, consisting of both hot and cold options. The breakfast room was clean and the staff very helpful. Our room was very well equipped and well maintained. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Will definitely be coming back”

“Stumbled onto Thursday night 2 for 1 steaks, so tried them out. Good meat, tasty baked potato, but not so great frozen veggies. Excellent value just to have the first two. Beer was tasty and cold, service friendly and welcoming. Don't expect gourmet, but recommended as a pleasant pub experience.”

“Pros: lots of things for kids to do with two great playgrounds, heated swimming pool, mini golf and an arcade area Cons: for anyone without a bathroom such as a small RV or tent the small outhouses are very old and should be replaced, they're very dim, smell terrible (compared to outhouses in provincial parks) and the fiberglass is getting soft and rotten. Sites not cleaned well, showed up to a picnic table covered in bird poop, would expect the sites to be landscaped better such as rake gravel etc etc. Majority of games in arcade are broken, hard to explain to a little one why he can't play the games, lights are on but out of order sign on most of the games. Bottom line is it's a fun place to camp with kids but for more than double the price of a provincial site I would expect the upkeep to be better than it is.”
