The food was really tasty compared to any other South asian restaurants I have been to. I visited the restaurant twice in 2 days of my stay in Invermere to try their variety of foods.
Pleasant service, good opening hours of the cafe, very close to the lake. Not perfect, but pretty good food. Butter chicken is really delicious.
Definitely have to start this review by mentioning the portion sizes in particular the Naan bread, very generous as you can see in the pictures I have posted. Stopped here with a co worker while working in town
Glad we stopped I started my dinner with an order of the chicken pakora, it was quite flavorful and the chicken was still very moist, for a main I ordered the Lamb coconut curry with a side of small rice, now note I asked for the small, again I must reiterate the portions are huge here, it truly was a filling meal, you Definitely won't walk away easily from this restaurant. I also highly recommend an order of Naan, you won't be disappointed.
Our first time to try this Indian restaurant and it was surprisingly good! They allow dogs on the patio so you can bring your furry friends with you (they don’t provide water for the dogs, we brought our own). You have to go inside to make an order, otherwise they won’t serve you (based on our experience). I’ve tried so many Indian food and this is among the best. Don’t forget to try GARLIC BREAD, hands down!
We stopped in for lunch and what a fird! We usually go to indian restaurants that have a lunch buffet or Thali. This restaurant didn't have either. So we ordered some of our favorites. Veg Pakora, veg briyani, veg korma, garlic naan, tea, plus a new one, butter veg. The flavors were excellent! We've been traveling cross country since September (9 months) and we have gone to indian restaurants in most places we stopped at. Spice Hut quickly rose to the top of the list. The portion size was huge! Everything was delicious. The hostess/server was nice and attentive even though the place was steady with customers and she was the only one working. We had lots of leftovers and got to go boxes and were able to eat and enjoy the rest over the next couple of days. So delicious!
