“The alternator on my truck went just outside of radium and we were stuck with a 30’ trailer in tow. Luckily enough we broke down just across from Gas Plus. I went in there first thing in the morning, and although Ron couldn’t fit me in for a repair, he did order me the part, and I changed it out on my own. It may not have been the bargain price you could get from a parts store, but we were stranded, had no way of getting it ourselves and it arrived about the same time I pulled the dead one out - so to me it was worth every penny. We truly appreciated the friendly service we received and if you’re in a jam, this is the place to go.”

“My husband and I stayed at Mountain Spring Motel over the weekend (Christmas Eve) as we went ice climbing in the area. I randomly selected this motel for the low price and pet friendliness. I called to confirm that dogs were allowed and Steve (the owner) was super kind and welcoming to animals. I was so surprised there was NO extra charge for our dogs which made the weekend so much more affordable. From the moment we arrived we felt like family. The rooms were very clean, well kept and in great condition. Many motels I’ve stayed at for a cheap price were sub par but Mountain Spring truly cares about their guests. We originally were only going to stay for one night but decided to stay for two. We will likely be in radium often so this will be our #1 choice of stay! Thanks so much Steve.”

“Checking online for a place that serves breakfast in Radium and Conrad's Kitchen & Grill most definitely was a hit. The atmosphere was pretty nice as well very clean. The service we received was great nice and friendly. My wife had the Eggs Benedict and I choose the Traditional breakfast with pancakes and hash browns. The bacon was a thick cut and the pancakes were fluffy not heavy tasted great. The coffee was fresh and hot had a good taste not weak like some places that taste either watered down or just cheap brand. I mostly definitely would recommend coming here for breakfast. We got there early so not sure how busy it really gets but it was starting to fill up around 10:30 - 11:00am.”

“What an amazing hidden gem. Booked last minute for a date night and did not disappoint. They called to verify our ETA. Very personable upon check-in. No issues. Easy to find our room. It was beautiful. Felt like a home away from home and not some regular hotel room. The smell of breakfast cooking in the morning made it feel even more at home. The food was fresh and hot. “During Covid 19 only gardeners are permitted access into the actual garden but if you are driving through Radium and need a break this is the perfect place to do it. Unfortunately there are no benches in the park other than inside the garden but it's still a calming, relaxing place. The area surrounding the garden I think is an off leash area but there is no gate to prevent your pooch from running out. Also along the West side of the area there is a hole in the fence with a golf course being on the other side”
