“My husband and I just had our wedding here a few weeks ago and it turned out amazing! I am so happy that we chose this venue. All of our guests loved it and had nothing but good things to say. The view from the balcony is the best part but the house and reception space is also very nice. We stayed at the venue for all of our wedding photos since there is already such nice scenery and lots of different areas for a wide variety of different photos. Would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking!”

“A big thank you to Barbara. Taken home, a large living room with billiard table, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Everything fine. Breakfast like from nuts, with pancakes, bacon, homemade jams - and a lot of love. The adjacent lake is a stone's throw away. The train trail to the Othello tunnels is a trip tip.”

“We stayed here for one night while skiing at Manning Park. The place is very spacious and worked well for the four of us. It was clean and well cared for. We enjoyed perusing the large selection of books. In the morning we loved the mountain views and seeing horses in a neighboring property.”

“Booked a motel online and when we got there the owner told us it was sold out and he sent us here instead. I am sure glad he did! This is an older motel, but the owners sure do take good care of it , it was very clean. From the reception area to the rooms everything was excellent. Would stay here again given the chance.”

“This is a really good campground. Brenda and family, and her staff, keep all the campsites clean ready for your arrival. They are also pretty strict on quiet times, which is good when you have younger children, or seniors that want an early night, lol! A good mix of different sites, from standard to full hook-ups. Our grandchildren loved paddling at the side of the river where it was flowing very slowly. There is an awesome bike park just across the road, for all level of biking. You can walk into Hope for any shopping. This campground is definitely on our list for next year.”

“I needed a place to stay for the night. The manager was very nice. Which helped a lot because I was very exhausted and just needed to crash. The bed was firm, if you prefer that. The room was chilly, but felt nice under the blankets. All in all I felt safe and was able get some well needed rest.”

“Very disappointed. $ 138 for one night. Uncomfortable bed. The shower is so stupidly low...if you're taller than 4 feet 3 inches tall...good luck enjoying it. Small space. Did not feel secure with only a dead bolt and locking handle. But on the bright side... it was the only motel open at 2:00 a.m. in Hope BC. And the gentleman that helped us was wonderful. That is the only reason I gave this rating 3 stars. Will not return.”

“Pricing was quite cheap, for what was available in Hope for the night. Pet friendly is a must. Rooms are large, with decent facilities. A fair amount of dust around the edges. Proximity to main road means walking distance to shops, but a lot of traffic noise in the rooms.”

“One of the best places to live in hope, after searching all the apartments/houses in Hope, this is the only one we were happy about. Typical apartment with studio, 2, 3 bedroom options. Best part is this is right in town opposite of mcDonalds and you have everything nearby.”

“Labour Day weekend, 3 days. Check in was easy. Harmony Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom sink needs work in that both hot and cold dripped, actually ran when turned off. Sink was not attached to wall so that it bounced around if any pressure was placed on it. Overall happy with accommodation.”

“Staff is super friendly and pleasant! Rooms could use some extra cleaning. Stains on bathroom towels, cobwebs in corners, damage to the rear entrance door to our room, looked like someone kicked the door in. Beds were super hard, we checked out early just so we didn't have to sleep in them another night. 3 star because staff is super nice, or else I'd give it 1 star.”

“We sure had high hopes :) I will try to be very fair on this review. The owner is wonderful and I do not want to cause any issues, however: We had a fairly poor experience for the money. Couple of things: The AC did not work at all. The room was very warm. We chose high hopes because they advertised AC in the room that we stayed in for the night. Zero air was coming from any vents in the room. I feel that the owner should be honest about this. Especially for $170.00 a night. Since the AC did not work we had to open the windows. Big mistake. TRAINS all night long. Every hour or more. Super loud horns, grinding tracks. Wow. Worst night sleep I have had in a very long time. The Breakfast was good. The owner was sweet. Honesty was needed however and we felt taken advantage of. Hope this helps future guests make a good choice on spending their hard earned cash on a night away.”

“Amazing place. Best gas bar in b.c by far. Historic site. They have liquor and novelties galore. Native gas bar with native concept. Most amazing place I've ever seen. They have fire works and smoked salmon. Restaurant. It's a one stop shop by far. If you in the area than you better stop and give them a look. Even the front door is real home door. Place has awesome vibes as the staff is super friendly. They have fresh pastries and food and ice cream available. This will be a stop for my family and myself. Esso gas station should all be this way. Of course this place is a historic site. Amazing is not the big enough word. There are no words for this beautiful site. I'm from kitimat and I'm coming back here on the pass by again to follow up and look more into the history of the hope family that owns the property. I will write a new review when I can. But I did take a couple of pictures of the outside structure. Enjoy and please check it out. You will not be disappointed. Be safe with covid measures. Hope for a few likes on this post as well.
