Did this trail on February 18th, very icy! Would recommend spikes or waiting until the snow melts. The trail took us much longer with the ice. Still a nice trail, would be a good easy hike in the warmer months.
The enjoyment of the trails can be weather dependent based on your expectations.
The many trails are of varying lengths and are equally suited to the novice hiker and expert backcountry trekker.
There are public beaches at the North and South ends of the lake and a decent-sized off-leash beach for your pooches that is clearly marked and fenced off.
Very nice hike, maybe considered easy for the experience hikers!
They all float down here. And you will too!
Beautiful forest and lake with trails from easy to hard.
(604) 469-9679 Buntzen may be a little out of the way for a majority of Vancouverites, but I would definitely urge you to make at least one trip to this lake on a nice day!! It may become your new summer pick!
