Burnaby Village Museum

Super interesting place! If you're ever in the area I suggest you check it out. Wonderful atmosphere.

I've been to many museums in my lifetime, from arts all the way to natural history but this place is a live museum which makes it so very unique.

It is a replica of Burnaby back in the olden days of blacksmiths and listening to music with phonographs. Even a self playing piano that follows the instructions off a sheet of paper, sounding great at that! Within the buildings you may also find a volunteer dressed in era costumes giving you a brief history of the posts they are at, all with very in depth knowledge of the building they are in which is great for people like me who love history, as well as children who might be curious.

Be sure to visit the theatre as well, it plays modern movies but seating on wooden chairs, it really would take someone back in time.

A nice place to visit with kids during a warm day.

It is a museum that educates people in the history and life style of the pioneering people.

There is an old fashioned school with an old fashioned teacher, blacksmith shop, old houses, stores and an indoor Mary-Go-Round.

Take a free get ride in a Ford Model T.

The cafeteria is quite nice and serves good food.

Great place to bring the family! Enjoyed walking around taking in all the nostalgic memories of Vancouver. Taking a ride on the Merry Go Round was great, But be prepared to wait a little. The Christmas lights strung all around the park were perfect, really gave the place an amazing feel. Look forward to go back.

I am very fascinated with history and this place let's you explore as if being transported back in time. Learn the simple ways of life as they were, with this historical museum. This time of year there is beautiful Christmas light displays and you cant miss out on the carousel ride built in 1912!!! Its so beautiful. Great family outing for sure! Not super crowded either. And you cant beat the price! Free
