Great place for walking the dog. Fraser River access is good, trail is in great shape.
Nice little park by the Fraser River.????
I like this place since it's perfectly situated on a route that I take home and if rush hour is more like grid-lock then driving 3 minutes out of my way to this river access park is the perfect use of my down time. If the tide is out and it's not raining, then a walk along the river's edge (down stream) is a perfect way to kill time till traffic starts to flow again. Heck, you know you probably will still get home at about the same time anyhow, at least it sure seems to work out that way most times. Anyhow. There are flush toilets at the end of the parking lot where you park for free and there is a boat launch with a little pier. There are also nice pockets of sandy beach along the rivers edge if having a nap in nature suites you, but again the tide should be out a bit for that. I've never really explored upstream from there so don't know what you'd find there. There are picnic benches between green spaces as well. The main gate never seems to close so it's probably a 24hr access park where you can sometimes see seals and little birds and fishermen doing their thing.
Great place to walk to dog or check out the engineering of the Port Mann Bridge.
Park has a boat launch and great views of the harbour. Lots of benches and nice places to sit. It is a bit loud because of the highway and bridge overhead.
