Childgarden Preschool

As parents choosing a Preschool for our children, there is no right or wrong choice. Only, the best choice is what you can hope for as there are no ‘do over’s. We chose Childgarden Preschool for the Reggio Emelia Approach and location.
Our daughter entered Childgarden Preschool at 3 and 4 years old in 2017 and 2018 respectively. She will graduate this summer and we are elated. But it is also heavy on the heart to think she will move on from Preschool, the wonderful teachers and friends.
We are first generation Japanese immigrants to Canada and our daughter was born here. As such, our daughter’s first (and, only on entering preschool) language was Japanese.
It was difficult for us her first year. But the founders of Childgarden worked with us and showed compassion and guidance for which we will be forever grateful. It takes a ‘community to raise a child’ and we feel blessed to have Childgarden Preschool in ours.
We recently attended a “Welcome to Kindergarten” event at the school our daughter is registered for September 2019. My wife and I didn’t know what to expect but as we observed our daughter involved in the many activities with all new faces, we were overwhelmed with joy and comfort in seeing her transition so well into a new class environment.

My daughter currently attends Childgarden and my youngest will start next year. The thing that stood out for me when we were choosing a preschool was how comfortable my daughter was in the environment at the open house. Every detail is well thought out and is done in a way to inspire children to use their imagination and creativity. My experience there has been excellent. I have made some lovely mommy friends aswell as my daughter making friendships. The teachers really focus on the interactions between class mates and encourage idea sharing and learning through exploration. I see alot of what my daughter learns in class in our home life particularly kindness to others and creativity. The teachers really make the difference and are always full of energy, warmth and a genuine kindness towards every child.

My daughter has enjoyed the last two years of her preschool experience so much and I have been able to watch her blossom from a shy early preschooler into a confident kindergarten bound young girl. The teachers are so caring and truly experts and leaders in their field. Feeling so grateful to be a part of the Childgarden community.

Incredible preschool with award winning educators who are kind, caring and thoughtful. My daughter has made wonderful friends and has grown so much in the past year while attending this preschool. Classes are engaging, creative and fun and I would highly recommend this school. My second daughter will be attending in the Fall!

My daughter loved preschool at Childgarden. Both owners are multiple award-winning early childhood educators. They care for your child's emotional and social development as well as academic. Focus on outdoors, curiosity, imagination, creativity, friendship, belonging while discreetly teaching about science, math, literacy, etc. too! They adapt to teach the way your child learns best. A great start to being "out in the world" and a wonderful set up for a life long love of learning.
