Bought a Honda generator; owner took the time to show me how to run it and helped me load it in my trailer...dealer prep fee here lower than all the big competitors. Even threw in a free Honda cover for it. Excellent service.
Excellent owners...know their products...professional service for any lawn and garden equipment...highly recommended.
This 5 star review is due ENTIRELY to Justin, very knowledgeable, friendly with PR skills his boss *sorely* needs to learn from (I'm still questioning whether I should reward the boss's behaviour like this), Justin is worth every penny they're paying him and probably more. Taught me the differences between my 20-year-old model and the new one we picked up, easy to understand, and with a certain enthusiasm I found contagious.
The lawn mower itself works great, pretty much exactly as Consumer Reports said it would be. If I hadn't been extremely pressed for time that day I might have gone hunting for a cheaper price though, it was about 10% more than I expected based on other online listings, but it was available that same morning unlike from other businesses I checked.
Being extremely pressed for time is why I didn't just walk out due to their boss. He made a remarkable claim, that I later verified to be false on Google (and by testing it myself), and 10 seconds away from proving the claim (or not) he suddenly blew up and said he didn't have time for us anymore. You'd almost think he can pick and choose his customers but the place looked rather quiet to me. Other reviews called him arrogant, they're not wrong. That my review is for 5 stars instead of 1 is testament to just how good Justin is with people and equipment. My advice, avoid engaging the boss in conversation at all, deal with anyone else there. My only concern is if he'd lose it over a trivial bit of folklore, what would happen in an actual warranty situation? Other reviews here hint it wouldn't go so well.
Super happy with this store. They are honest and knowledgeable. They care about the customer and it shows.
They took the time to go through all of the options available. The owners discussed in depth the pro's and cons of each brand and made sure we were buying something that fit our intended use.
If you're looking for more than just useless internet reviews, or are tired of dealing with sales people who know nothing about what they sell... Give these guys a shot.
It really is one of the last few remaining shops from the good-old days.
In the back there's a service department and the guys were busy fixing up all sorts of small motor equipment. Felt very much like a tight knit family in there and if I ever need service I know where I'm going.
Oh and like the other guys who mentioned that the 1 star cowboys are out to lunch, I too agree. If you read the reviews all the negative ones sound the same...
"I came in after messing up my equipment and they wouldn't fix it for free"
"They did a bunch for me like free labour but it wasn't enough to make me happy"
"They never smiled at me to make me feel special, just boring professional mechanics and busy front desk staff"
Well the rest of us had a good experience ha so I dunno
We came here to purchase a generator and was not disappointed. They are very knowledgeable and their service is excellent. They took the time to explain things most shops won't. They really care and it shows!
Most stores only sell product. These guys also service it in house. That means they know what will last and what won't. Because of this they offer true expert advice that is based on years of knowledge.
