Green Timbers Urban Forest

Wonderful forest area where you can switch off and enjoy mature in the middle of what now has become a crazy city expanding more and more east! Love this forest so many trails, you can go round and here and there and walk for hours. There is a pond to sit by also, kids can feed the ducks or you can relax on your own, wonderful.

Nice place to go on a trail and sit by the lake. I took the trail from the intersection and walked all the way to the lake. Beautiful dense forest with clear marked walk way and directions leading to the lake. The lake is pet friendly and there is a dog park where pets are unleashed. Frequented by many after office hours for fishing. Pleasant to spend time till it gets dark.

I love going to Green Timbers with my family. The beaver has been a fantastic addition and we enjoy seeing all the changes and watching the dams and lodge develop over time.
The educational signs are a plus , even though we frequent the park we more often than not read the signs. Now my littlest one always looks for eagles when we go to a park!

Delightful little escape to enjoy Nature and unwind. Great for dogs and walking. Some trails could do to be better maintained however and beavers need to be kept in check as well, as they've been allowed to take over and have blocked the flow of the streams too much.

I love this place! It's great to take the kids to to walk trails or even just with yourself and or your partner. Beautiful forest, nice lake, and has a washroom at the beginning of the park itself! Which is super helpful if you want to hang out and go fishing all day ;) only downside is that it can get busy sometimes and feels less nature like at those times for myself. See dogs there on leash too if you have dogs. All around and enjoyable place to go for a walk fishing or to just hang out.
