My favourite little "pocket park" for a close to home stroll in the forest. Unfortunately, last year the City of Surrey in their wisdom decided that a large number of very large and old trees - several over 70 years old - had to be cut down indiscriminately for "safety" reasons. The area now mostly resembles a disaster zone with large logs of varying sizes left lying where they fell to rot. It will take another 20 years for this place to recover.
Great trail close to home
This is a small Park suitable for a quick forest fix in a busy world. Once inside, you will see evidence of the giants that once inhabited this area until the logging boom in Surrey in the 1880's and the second growth trees that are assuming the role of their ancestors.
