Friendly neighborhood pizza pasta place. Awesome homemade desserts
Outdoor seating. Big screen TVs.
I actually usually order from another Greek pizza spot on Broadway, however , tonight I called and was put on hold for 5 called back, hold another 7, finally when I say I am annoyed , the guy tells me in a snark tone that it's Greek day....I understand that now, but at the time I was irritated. Maybe answer the phone "Hello Greek Day"! I said I would call somewhere else. I called this place which I had completely forgotten about and what a fabulous surprise! I had prawn souvlaki which was succulent and perfectly grilled. Very generous plump prawns. The rice, potatoes, and salad and pita were all delicious and the pilaf wasn't greasy!! Yay!
My son had baked pasta and meatballs and declared the meatballs homemade and that it was delicious. It was really restaurant quality at home. It came super hot and fast. DD, you can be my new favourite go to for take out!
I’ve been going for over 25yrs.
It was a hole in the wall primarily back then.
Traditional cuisine. The only diff is they do it right. Great value and portions and stuck with original recipes. The parents are still involved and continue to mentor. GREAT FOOD.
Double D pizza is an interesting place. Take every mediocre greek pizza youve ever had, and then imagine it being incredible. Its weird but its really good and worth a try. The crust is crispy and kind of like a high quality pan pizza (I think they do use a pan). Ive never gotten the pasta at the restaurant, only delivered, however the spaghetti and meatballs were good and portions were large.
My family and I were welcomed warmly and fed well, despite gluten and dairy issues. One child was in a walker because of a leg injury, and staff did not bat and eye or make us feel uncomfortable about any of this.
Accessibility was great for the child sized walker. I think a wheelchair would have no problem; no stairs and modest bumps to get into the restaurant and to the bathroom.
The restaurant was nicely decorated and seemed clean and spacious.
The dinner was delicious - we all had chicken souvlaki. No gluten!
The owner greeted us on entering and on leaving.
We are really happy to have a new favorite restaurant.
