Mat Collective @ Kits

Mat Collective is a grass roots initiative that makes yoga practice accessible to people of all ages and levels. Founded by entrepreneurial wizards Rebecca Holgate and Selina Pechlaner, Mat Collective offers free outdoor summer classes seven day per week at five landmark locations throughout Vancouver. This summer, Mat Collective introduced Acro Yoga to its following of yoga enthusiasts. Participating in this workshop was well out of comfort zone, but in doing so, allowed me to practice building trust and confidence in myself and others. I have never been a big fan of yoga but since starting the outdoor sessions at kits beach last week I have quickly fallen in love with this movement. I love the variety of teaching styles, the morning motivation it brings and the incredible scenery! The breeze and the warmth from the sun also make this so much better than any other yoga class I’ve taken previously. Very highly recommended!
