If you're a fan of public markets, be sure to spend time at the one in Granville Island. In addition to amazing local seafood products, you'll find food that reflects the diverse ethnic groups that make Vancouver unique, from a multitude of Asian cuisines to Polish and German. Stop for some salmon candy, especially that made with Canadian maple syrup. It'll blow your mind.
Awesome views! The views are spectacular, a must go place to enjoy. Well cared park. All green!! No smoking allowed! Yey! Recommended to all. Wheelchair accessible.
A lot of people don't realize the beauty of this park. Both the Conservatory, and old Quarry gardens are exceptionally maintained by City staff. The quarry mirrors the beauty of Butchart Gardens in Vancouver Island - but without the added cost of a ferry ride!
The Conservatory holds both exotic plants, and birds, and is well worth the cost of entry!
An interesting FYI... Queen Elizabeth Park is the highest point in Vancouver, and has a water reservoir that feeds Vancouver via gravity feed!
It's a tourist and local delight! Beautiful space for Hangouts, dates, family picnics and a little sport. The garden is absolutely beautiful and the waterfalls add extra aesthetic amusement. The love locks are my favourite part, it's just such a romantic idea and notion in such a gorgeous loving place.
One of my favorite parks in the city. Great for a run, est your lunch or just wandering the gardens! The gardens are in immaculate condition. Beautiful waterfall and bridge for photos. Also a great place for a picnic. Highest point in Vancouver with great views. If you are in to free random workouts with a group of happy strangers, come at 6:30am every Wednesday morning and meet the gang from the November Project, you won't be disappointed.
