This is an authentic Chinese northern cuisine restaurant. The cook/owner is from Beijing. Robson public market is a great place to eat out but it has been undervalued and lacked of promotion. 2 hours free underground parking at rear. Must try the charcoal grilled lamb skewers, dumplings and assorted noodles dishes . Will be back to try more items on the menu. Average spending $15/ person.
An incredible hidden gem. Authentic and delicious food here and it's so lovingly hidden in this unassuming food court. The owner is clearly passionate about his food and hospitality. This place should have line ups all day it's legit. ???
Many vegan options. We have had the pleasure of trying and recommend the steamed veggie dumplings, the cold spicy noodles, noodles and green beans, cabbage salad and fried veggie balls. We have gone twice in a week and can’t wait to return to try the sour and sweet lotus root! Amazing quality of food, very nice owner, and fair prices. There is also a nice small quiet little patio outside!
Outstanding dumplings. I tried the sampler and it's my most favorite dish I've had in eons. What an exceptional spot. I've enjoyed the airy food area upstairs at Robson Square for years, and this little restaurant is the gem of them all. Very highly recommended if you like good dumplings. ?
We were nervous as we got there at 12 and it wasn't open...like...no one there at all. So I called their number and the boss said he is running late and was on his way. When he arrived he apologized for his lateness and prepared to open up. He took our order and prepared a fresh pot of tea whixh he then brought to us. It was like eating at a restaurant but in food court environment. The food was very good, some dumplings were better than others. My coworkers didn't like the veggies ones but the others they gobbled up. Pork and chives was a favourite. I had the spicy jelly, cold noodle with chicken, spicy fried chicken, green onion pancake and lamb skewers. Finished it all. It hit the spot for me. It was quite busy there as we were not the only table eating from their stall. The boss was very good at service and came by many times to bring us tea, napkins, etc and to ask us how the food was. Sounds like my friends want to go again tomorrow.
