“Great pizza ans great service. I ordered a panezerotti and it tasted delicious; be sure to be clear in selecting the ingredients (including cheese, sauce, etc)”

“Rolls and tempura are good overall, but the cooked options I’ve tried on different occasions like the pork katsu and udons are okay. I would stick to the rolls which are good quality and relatively good price overall. Staff is nice and attentive, but it looks like they have some difficulty managing high volumes of take out orders in addition to dine in tables. A few people were waiting outside the business for a while for take out, while we were waiting a while inside for the food to arrive. It’s possibly a one-off today, but during high volume hours, ordering take out may have a longer delay. Overall, this is still a good place for rolls when you have a craving.”

“I’m a falafel and shawarma addict. On my quest to eat at over 40 of these restaurants in BC so far, this is by far one of my favs. Top 2 for sure. Total hole in the wall and grungy, but food is fresh , authentic and true to international rich flavours and textures , not like in the proliferation of fake horrible donair shops everywhere.”

“Got the lemongrass chicken banh mi and it was so delicious. Very friendly service and their food is amazing. Might be a bit pricier than the average Vietnamese restaurant, but it’s downtown and so they have their reasons. The food is worth the price. Will definitely go again!”

“The food is pretty average. It's not bad but it's not exceptional either. I don't have any complaints about my time there but food has to be great to get repeat customers. My pina colada was sad but I didn't expect much going into the restaurant, because it was obvious they don't specialize in drinks. Few others places down the street offer similar or better experience so I don't see myself going there. Plus the dine in ambience is a little shady. They are sitting at a prime touristy location but haven't bothered about the interiors of the place which in my opinion is just baffling so I'd give them an average rating.”

“Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We arrived around 9:30 AM and were able to snag a seat in the small dining room before the rush came around 10 AM. They have Turkish coffee which is not very common, so I ordered one and it was great. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. There were unique art pieces everywhere, which created a bohemian vibe. The location on Denman near English Bay was very convenient! The service we had was exceptional, no complaints at all.”

“My son heard of this place so we decided to check it out. The staff here was very attentive and friendly. They were a pleasure. The food was unreal, you could not get better hot chicken anywhere. I also love how you can order your meal how hot you want it. This place is great, I would recommend this to everyone!!”

“Big Bang roll was very good Gyoza was okay. Meat is good skin is alright. Mango paradise roll is good, but I wish there was more mango taste. Sunshine roll did not stick together. It kept on falling apart. Overall very yummy though.”

“I ordered food online and I highly recommend the Okra sabzi. The food packaging was good and order was timely delivered. Roti was also soft. Veg biryani was good too and I really loved the side raita with the biryani. Definitely going to visit this place.”

“Probably one of the best fried chicken I have had in a long time. The price was affordable. Not a fancy place but they got the chicken right. Had the spicy 2 piece chicken combo and the level of spicy was awesome. The chicken is also halal and they had my heart with the promo to feed the hungry on Friday if one can’t afford a meal. So thoughtful.”

“This is by far the best chicken sandwich I’ve had thus far. I ordered their chicken sandwich combo through UberEats— normally the sandwiches arrive soggy and warm, but this was a different case. The chicken was extremely crispy and fresh, the sauce or seasoning was something different from all chicken sandwiches in Vancouver. Upon opening the package I was shocked to see how big the actual chicken patty was and wondered how I was going to accomplish eating this. Next time I’ll order without raw onions as they aren’t my favourite, but everything else was perfect and would definitely recommend to anyone craving a good and crispy chicken sandwich!”

“Very cute place! The brunch line wasn’t long at all. All the staff were very nice and we even had 2 waitresses who were very attentive. We got the steak and eggs, two lattes and the west end. All were delicious! The jam was amazing and would come back just for that. The aesthetic of the place is very on point.”

“We put the order in online and then communicated via email and text. Delivery was right on time and payment was easy…e-transfer, cheque, credit card, debit or cash. The meat was nicely flavoured, not over salty at all; I loved the hint of lemongrass and all the crispy skin. Someone phoned to let me know that we had double-paid; it was miscommunication on our end. The problem was quickly resolved with money returned. We had so much left over that families could take containers of meat home with them. I highly recommend Kuy’s Lechon.”

“Got the meteorite wings, meteorite burger, pistol chicken, popcorn chicken and tenders. Everything was so crispy and juicy! Definitely try the flavour add ons. We got to try the cumin flavour on the popcorn chicken and it was so unique and tasty.”

“Not sure why everyone’s hating on this place. My food was delivered by bike, and it still was awesome. I had zero quality issues. Tried the fake meat, it was actually great - often restaurants overcook the fake meat and it’s dry and nasty. Not here, perfection. Portion size was quite fair for the price. However, the sides of salsa & guac were small - should be closer to 25 cents instead of $1. But I’m sure Uber marked it up a lot. Overall 5 stars, will definitely be back.”

“Had breakfast at Helen's Grill this morning after seeing it was featured in Sandra Bullock's movie "The Unforgivable". If you're looking for an authentic diner experience, then this is the place to go. Great food and friendly staff but most of all the diner aesthetics make you feel like you walked into a time capsule.”

“Husband and I ordered the buy 1 get 1 free deal from Uber eats. We got 2 pepperoni pizzas and the cheesy bread. WOW the pizza is absolutely delicious. So crispy, so flavourful, and huge for the price. Will order again”

“Tasty sandwiches and fantastic service. We ordered a variety for a small gathering of friends and family. Easy communication via email to order them in advance, and they were delivered promptly and well divided into labeled containers by type. Everything tasted fresh and delicious—among the best I've had in the city. Our guests loved them. Highlights were the vegan, beef, and shrimp. Would definitely order again for other events.”

“Absolute gem of a place. Opened on the 9th of September 1999 this restaurant was run by Ken. His wife mentioned that after he had a heart attack and stroke she has been managing it all on her own. Great value for your money. Large serving size and tasty food. Has a ramp to enter so it's also easily accessible. Since the kind lady cleans the tables, takes the orders, cooks the food and manages payment, service can be a bit slower that most restaurants but it definitely isn't bad. Just make sure to go on a day when you aren't in a rush. Definitely worth checking out, not only for the Caribbean food but for the Japaribbean twists as well. This restaurant adds character to the neighborhood and is a good stop when you're in the mood for a story. Make sure to sign the calendar on your way out.”

“Ordered twice, loved it both times. The food quantity and quality both are amazing. Plus, nothing is too expensive. Loved it. Excellent for vegans and non vegans alike Edit: Went for pickup, had to wait 30 minutes post estimated pickup time and calls were not answered. Food was good but service could be better/faster.”

“Tried veggie noodles burger… it reminded me of the Indian burger that I used to have in India. It was really good but a bit pricey not sure if I’ll have it again. After tip it costed me almost 12 bucks. In that price I’d rather have something which is more filling. But I’ll definitely try other items on the menu.”

“Ordered a lobster roll/bisque combo. My friend ordered a whole lobster roll. Taste wise is good, but just not really an authentic lobster roll nor a lobster bisque. There were barely any lobster meat in the roll, prob 85% or more tasted like imitations. The bisque had minimal lobster flavour and like one of the reviews mentioned below, it tasted like curry carrot chowder. With the inflation nowadays, I guess this is the best you can get locally without flying to NYC or Boston. Tried once, probably won’t order again for the same value. This review is referring to the food truck. However, I believe their recipe would be the same…”

“This place has such great comfort food! Their in house kimchi is delicious and used in the majority of all their dishes. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered and were amazed with the two man team handling the kitchen on a Friday night. We'll be back here again, definitely.”
