“Dr. Edward Chin was amazing, as was all his staff. Huge shoutout to Chelsea whom was so patient and kind with me, and Em, whom was SUPER fun and patient with my kiddo. My kiddo and I had a surprisingly great time at the dentist; seems weird to say we had fun at a dentist appointment but Dr. Chin and his staff did everything they could to make us comfortable. I liked the sturdy iPad at reception to fill and sign forms electronically and my kiddo appreciated the tattoo prize machine, free fortune cookie, sparkly toothpaste and toothbrush, AND decked out train set to play with (Em was watching her for me while I was filling my forms out with Chelsea, can it get more amazing?!). The office is super clean, bright and open. There are lots of admins/dental assistants. Parking was on the side street but sparse on 48th because it was mostly for residents except for a small subsection right in front of the office door. I didn’t see an elevator only stairs, not sure if I missed it but for those that need wheelchair accessibility, please be aware. In terms of service, Dr. Chin has a calm and cool demeanor, and I didn’t need to wait long during my appointment for him to see us. Most importantly they were able to squeeze us into a surgery opening immediately in the next few weeks instead of waiting till December as I was quoted by another dentist. This was my second opinion after initially seeing another pediatric dentist and I’m so glad I decided to get another opinion because Dr. Edward Chin and his staff are SO much better and faster (and slightly better priced) than the first dentist we went to. Thank you Dr. Chin and team. We look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks! I’ll update again after her surgery :)”

“I was referred here for a consultation with Dr Almeida. It was such a positive experience. I had to postpone the appointment due to flu symptoms and they happily rescheduled me. They called to confirm the appointment and gathered information so that they could prepare. When I arrived, Claire saw me trying to find the office and invited me in. She did a COVID screen and communicated everything to me. They had me fill out a 6-page form with personal info, health info, and gauging my sleep concerns. I met Dr Almeida in a consultation room and she asked open-ended questions to understand my complaint. She did an exam and then talked to me about options, expectations, risks, and benefits of treatment. She watched me to see if I had questions, and she answered them honestly and thoroughly. She told me the exact price for the treatment, and Claire prepared a letter for my insurance company so I could check for coverage. It was one of the only times I left a medical office satisfied that I had all the information I needed to make a decision. They were so friendly that I want to go back, lol. As for COVID measures, they were super prepared and organized. There's masks, sanitizer, spaced out seating, a receptical for used pens, plexi barriers, and signage for guidance. Dr Almeida wore a mask, face shield, gloves, and sat behind a plexi barrier during the consultation.”

However, from the moment I entered through the door, I was put at ease. Dr. Terry was the one handling my extraction and he was so good, attentive and quick. “First, how great that these people are here volunteering their time for hardly any profit at all. This is super essential with our national lack of dental work coverage I had mostly good but somewhat mixed experiences across my three visits here. The first was a basic exam with xrays - fairly well done and I was happy with the conduct. At the end I booked a cleaning some weeks later, which when I in for I waited unattended for a half hour, during which time someone with a non-urgent appointment set later than mine was seen. I had to go to work so eventually left and rescheduled. When I finally went in, the cleaning was done on time, but my hygienist really went unnecessarily full throttle on some sensitive spots (due to overbrushing/gum-recession) which continued to sting for a couple of days. I'd also given them a nightguard to clean which I almost left without as they didn't remember to return it, until I did. Overall not bad, considering they're likely operating on a shoestring, but a few things seemed like really basic fixes and common-sense issues. Hope to see this place thrive and improve.”

However, I would say this office is probably much safer and cleaner than the grocery stores I go to. The staff were wiping everything everywhere over and over.
