Delicious fresh sushi & sashimi. Premium ingredients, professional presentation. Indoor/outdoor seating.
Their food was great dont get me wrong, the reason its a 4 stars is that the food is just simply good, it doesnt stand out or outshine any other, and thats GOOD ENOUGH.
I still highly recommend if youre in the area. A very homey vibe and welcoming aura, they got friendly lone waitress there when we ate there.
Plus the obvious spectacular location and view the place has, its got that local seaside restaurant vibe to it as it should.
Visited for our anniversary, had never been here before. Great location with a patio option, upbeat atmosphere, nice decor & view. We ordered the party tray for 2 — very basic sushi, but nice quality, flavor & presentation. Miso soup portions were kind of tiny — though they had a good amount of tofu, more broth would have been nice. Service was hurried and not that friendly, but didn’t detract from the overall experience. Didn’t love the noise & smell of traffic (as they had the front window wide open onto the patio & some clunkers drove by), but I don’t suppose it could be helped.
Overall, we had a nice time and I’ll definitely consider coming back next time I’m in the area.
Ordered party tray for take out, they whipped it together very quick. Fresh, high quality, delicious sushi! We highly recommend you give it a try. We have tried every sushi place locally and this is our new fave for local well priced high quality sushi.
We ordered the crispy & crunchy roll, salmon aburi oshi, salmon sashimi (unfortunately they didn’t have toro salmon available during our visit), and few nigiri sushi (hotate, otoro, ikura, ika, and masago) for our lunch. The roll and oshi we had were well balanced in terms of the flavour. For the salmon sashimi, it was fresh and up to the bar. However, for the nigiri we had, they were a bit off. Hotate, it had the sweetness of the scallop but it wasn’t fresh; ika, it wasn’t as smooth as it should be as it was stored for a few days. Ikura & masago, they were decent. Otoro, it’s a melt-in-the-mouth sushi due the fatty tissue with the creamy and rich texture but it didn’t have as much high oil content as I expected.
All in all, I’d come back to try their dons or teriyaki but probably not nigiri sushi. Friendly staff though!
