Charles has, as literally as possible, changed my life. I had the pleasure of seeing him for anxiety as a very young child. Later in life as an adult after some hefty trauma, I looked him up, found him still practicing, and reconnected. His approach is one of kindness and understanding (with a pleasant dose of sarcastic wisdom, to taste). I can't speak highly enough of him. Truly. I've worked with him for the last two years, and in that time have even moved to the UK, continuing sessions via Skype. Occasional technical lapses aside, it's been as if nothing has changed. I plan on maintaining our relationship for years to come and would recommend him to absolutely anyone in need of someone to talk to.

I started counselling with Charles McManus in order to cope with a major life transition and how to deal with trauma from my childhood. I am amazed at the positive impact my sessions with Charles have made on my life. Charles has helped me summon the courage and self-confidence to face my life challenges and start a new career path. He is so compassionate and easy to talk to. He is knowledgeable and offers techniques to help ground myself and be aware of why I do the things I do. I have learned to be forgiving of myself. I feel like Charles is on my side, which empowers me to have confidence in the decisions I have made in the past, present and for the future.
