“A stunningly beautiful winery that's a work of art. The path up to the winery from the parking lot to the main buildings as you walked underneath the two art statues provided an impressive grand entrance. I've noticed different background music depending on where you are standing and I thought that was a subtle, yet well thought out detail. When you were close to the outside of the main tasting room, the music was slightly more upbeat and fun. The music that was closer towards the restaurant was more spa like and relaxing. The view you get to immerse yourself in during the tasting is breathtaking. Unfortunately, due to the smoke, we weren't able to sit outside, which was a shame and not Phantom Creek's fault. We had the premium tasting with the charcuterie board and it was worth it. The charcuterie board was unique and not like any other boards we've had during our wine tastings. The staff were so knowledgeable and experienced. They were able to answer all our questions we had. Our favorite wine was the Syrah, but you had to join the wine club in order to purchase it. The only thing they needed to work on is the amount of flies inside the tasting room. I know it's fly season, but there should be some way to trap the flies on sticky paper and etc because it took away from the amazing experience as you're trying to swat away flies. We didn't want them to land on the food and one even got into the wine glass and they should have replaced it.”

“We visited Black Hills with 2 of our friends who were new to BH earlier this week. We were welcomed on our arrival and seated right away. We were served by Jess who told us she had only been there a few months. She was amazing. Her knowledge was excellent as we worked through the wines. The wines were great as usual and our friends really enjoyed the tasting. And are now fans of Black Hills as well.”

“One of the best tasting experiences we ever had. They don’t need that fancy stuff the big wineries offer. The quality of The service and the quality of the food and wine speaks for itself. Great bread and fantastic reds. If you are looking into a honest, high quality experience in a family owned place? You can’t miss this one! I wish I could bring more bread nome, but they were almost sold out.”

“Looking at past reveiws you can really tell they have turned this place around. The wine was all fantastic, beautiful space, but the service is really what pushed them to the top. Being from the Okanagan I have been to a lot of wineries, and only a handful have really stood out as excelent for me, and this one definitely makes the cut. Keep doing what you guys are doing!”

“We didn't make a reservation, but they were still able to accommodate us on the spot. Beautiful grounds and tasty wines. Staff were very friendly and shared enough about the wines to make me feel a little out of my league (it's been a few years since I've stopped to really think about the wine I'm drinking and the process it goes through). Overall a very pleasant experience and one I would definitely recommend if in the Oliver area.”

“Fabulous tasting of very good wines! What shot my experience over the top though was that I returned to the winery 3 days later to purchase a couple additional bottles for my sister and as I walked through the door I was greeted by name and recognition. Totally made me feel welcomed and at home!”

“We stopped here on a whim, and even though they are not tasting right now, if the experience ... sans tasting... is any indication, there is no doubt we will be back. The host was more than just world class, he was a wealth of information and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. We highly recommend this winery. As well as an EV owner it was great to get a bit of charge while while we chatted. Ontario Tesla owner”

“My boyfriend and I stopped in to do a quick wine tasting the other day, and were greeted by Brenda. She informed us that the tasting would take about 45 minutes and we unfortunately had a reservation elsewhere so we couldn’t stay. She was so nice and insisted we at least try the Riesling before going and was so friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable in the short time we were there. We ended up buying a few bottles and left with a promise to come back for the full experience next time we visit.”

“Amazing experience and awesome customer service. Had some fantastic wines to taste and a really cool area to do the testing in. We got a bit lost when driving through the field to reach the Winery but found it fairly quickly. Really cool buildings and a really interesting building just off to the side that was cool to look at with a rustic roof. Looked like something out of a movie! Got to taste 5-6 different wines which were all very unique and great to try. Ended up buying two bottles, a bottle opener and some Popsicles. Would likely return with others in the future.”

“We had fun! Good wine + great hosts + sunny day. It’s a small family owned winery with a great selection of whites and reds. I got my wine in a can in the perfect temperature to bring it to a picnic.”

“I love everything this winery has to offer, and have for many years. Their whites have always been strong, but the reds are also really fantastic now. Bubbles, port, ciders, you can't go wrong. (On that note, we bought some cider despite not tasting it there, and it is delightful)! I do have to say that I'm sorry to hear it has been sold to Tinhorn Creek, and really hope the quality doesn't change.”
