“Stemwinder would be perfect if it had showers and less road noise. That said, the park is well maintained, clean, and the river is beautiful. Staff are super courteous.”

“Our family has been visiting Gold mountain since our daughters were children. It is a gem in the myriad of campgrounds that aspire to be the best. This is the cleanest, friendliest, safest campground we visit, bar non. We consider it to be our second home. I would recommend it to anyone that wants the absolute best. 5-stars without question”

“Lorraine and Ron are the most amazing hosts - so kind and so helpful. Throughout our stay, they both checked in with us and made sure we were looked after. The site is the cleanest I’ve ever been to, the river is beautiful and there is a sandy beach for the kids to play on. The games room is a huge hit and our kids absolutely love camping at Riverhaven. We’ve booked our next summer trip already!”

“So much information and history. It is a fantastic stop and well worth your time. There is also a tea room that serves coffee, tea and hot chocolate, pop but also floats! They also have some wonderful lemon meringue pie, that is baked by a local lady, that is absolutely delicious!”

“Very rustic countryside place. I found good quality homemade pie, and learned that they can bake cakes and bread to order, that was in 2016. It is good to get out of the "normal" shopping centre and connect to people who's ancestors actually helped build Canada. Learn a bit of history while there, the locals know about the old gold mines in the area, where are the best camping spots or where you could go for gold panning”

“Lovely rec site, hard to get to for vehicle with low ground clearance but that also means you don't get the crowd! Please be aware that the temperature here is colder than in city. The fact there are still sheets of ice on lake surface during May is a good indicator. Dress warm!”
