West Coast Railway Heritage Park

The miniature train conductor was extremely pleasant. The joy of the lil guy riding the train was joyful to witness. It was a real nice day with my sons.

If you like trains and railwsy history this is the place for you. There is a miniature train to ride and numerous railway cars set up with all kinds of displays and they have been hosting a Day Out With Thomas annually and around Christmas they do a Polar Express event and both of these include short train rides. There have been food trucks when we've been there as well as a bunch of activities and games set up for the kids to do. Use a baby/child carrier if possible because you can't get through the displays in the railway cars with a stroller. My five year old has been having a great time there since he was two.

The park itself is ok. We purchased the tickets mainly to ride in Thomas The Train but it's over priced and over hyped. Sure the kids get excited to see Thomas but the train ride is not worth $30. It's old & it smells. Otherwise there are quite a few activities for kids to do & learn about the trains. Kid enjoyed the mini train more than Thomas.

Been coming here since I was a small child. Very cool place to check out if you are into trains. There is a small train that goes around a part of the museum for children. You'll really want to check out the "Royal Hudson" as it is an amazing and beautiful train engine. Staff are incredibly friendly as well.

This was a very interesting place and makes for a great stop on the way from Vancouver to Whistler. As the name implies, full of an assortment of old trains, cars and locomotives as well as a mini train tour of the grounds and examples of railway related heritage buildings, stations and memorabilia. Excellent stop for train buffs or anyone especially families with kids.
