“I recently had a RF micro needling procedure with Dr. Gouws on an area of my body I've always been very self conscious about. Dr. Gouws took the time to listen to my concerns and then outlined the area with a white marker. He had me sit and stand so that we could ensure he could be as thorough as possible. He provided a local anesthesia to the area which made the discomfort of the procedure completely manageable. Throughout the procedure he checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay. Dr. Gouws is very kind and definitely made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend this service. It is definitely worth the money for the confidence I have regained!”

“I wasn’t sure what to expect from an osteopath treatment; it was recommended as something that might help chronic digestion issues. Two treatments with Alexi and I cannot believe how much better I’m feeling. After the first treatment, I felt like I was able to take the deepest breath I have taken in a long time. I felt cracked open in a way, but incredibly grounded at the same time. Since the second treatment, there has been a marked improvement in my symptoms, and that would be enough to convince me to continue with treatments. But beyond relief of the physical symptoms, I feel more so much more tuned in to myself, less frazzled and just generally feel more at ease in the world. Balanced, in a word. I have always been a big proponent of body work for its physical, mental and spiritual benefits. We are so fortunate to have a therapist like Alexi here in Squamish!”

“I’ve seen Derek over the last year and half for a couple injuries (torn achilles and a broken toe). The rehab process through Derek has been fantastic. I didn’t know what to expect coming to see a Physio for the first time and I feel very fortunate that I am able to work with Derek. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He also is very good at recognizing what works best for each person and if a routine is not getting the desired results, he has the important ability to recognize this and change course. Past the rehab for those mentioned injuries Derek has worked with me on lingering issues related to hip/back pain, stability and mobility. Derek was able to zero into what was causing these issues and I can’t express how much of a difference even just a few months have made. Skiing is a whole new world to me now where I feel strong and stable. Most importantly I am not in pain each time I come off the hill. I highly recommend Derek for someone looking for physio treatments.”

When I broke my ankle in September last year, I rented a walker and wheel chair, and purchased a cane. My daughter and I were impressed with the friendly, helpful services of the young male staff member who tended to our needs. After I had recovered, one of the staff asked my daughter how I was doing.
