Took a mountain bike rip around Cat Lake! Cheshire Cat was the trail we started on and it was fast fun and technical. Be prepared though toneide through camp sites! After we ended at the lake and took in some beautiful sites. Lots of people having a wonderful time - note only a few beach access points and a few small peers. A great day none the less!!

Beautiful and warm lake for a day trip or camping. Multiple dock and beach access points. We were lucky and avoided crowds just outside of the weekend but can certainly tell it gets busy. Sites are generally quite manageable to walk stuff into. They are pleasantly spaced as well. A wheelbarrow is provided to help ferry your gear, but apparently some intelligent people thought it belonged to them for several hours. I certainly see the difference between rec sites closer to big cities relative to those in smaller communities around BCor more remote. People do not seem to care here nor appreciate what they have, washrooms were not clean and there was a good amount of cigarette butts, bottle caps along many trails, specifically around group sites. Several people arr dortbijes also ripped through the site narrowly missing one of our dogs (it's a non-motorized park). Sometimes humans are quite disappointing. A nice spot, but could be maintained better (by the users).

Generally speaking, the actual campsites are walk-in traffic only. That said, the site operator did allow us to park our RV in the main parking lot for $10/night (price for actual camping site is either 13 or 15/night - I can't remember exactly). Be aware though, the Forest service road to get to the rec. site is very rough. Most cars, trucks and vans shouldn't have much of a problem. However for the RV'er or heavy truck/camper van, you need to take it slow or you risk bottoming out. The trails are great and the lake, beautifully maintained! Definitely worth the trip!

Awesome site, well kept grounds. This was only a day trip, but I would definitely go camping here.

Absolutely loved camping at cat lake. There is a fair amount of campsites to choose from. The road up isn’t too terrible, manageable in a car for sure. The lake was very cold but the campsites are well spaced out for privacy. We have been coming here for years and still love it. There is at least one big group site for up to 18 people. Reasonably priced for a night to camp. Nice trail to walk around the lake. With awesome views of the mountains highly recommend
