“Parking is full on weekends, so you have to wait little bit may be. Otherwise its a beautiful place to spend time. Shannon falls are amazing to look and to feel! Must visit place, family friendly!”

“Great campsite. Wish we could have taken a site in the back area as the view is amazing but the rest of our family were tenting and we wanted to be closer to them. Sites were all good size. We took a walk in the area and was really happy to see the place looking well maintained and clean. We didn't use the washrooms till our last day when we were about to leave and didn't want to use our RV washroom anymore and was so surprised on how clean and big the washrooms are. Would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. Very close to lots of nice hiking place and beautiful water falls”

“The hike to Giribaldi Lake is about 9km each way. We hiked in mid-September and it rained on us, but rain jackets and the almost constant tree-cover made that less of an issue. Restrooms are provided nearly halfway up the trail and at the lake itself. Hiking boots and plenty of water are recommended. Pack a lunch and eat at the lake to enjoy the amazing views.”

“Headed up to Black Tusk and back in a day. Started early but even then the car park was pretty full. Popular area, so get there early for a spot!”

“Worth every km walked. I did this in one day from rubble Creek parking lot and back; definitely would not recommend doing that! Stay and camp overnight. Highly recommend getting there early around 10 or earlier as there wasn't anyone there!”

“Beautiful area to explore. The river at certain times of year is amazing. Road was closed before the first at the first Ashlu bridge when I was there on Nov 2, 2018”

“Stayed for a night during the summer. Al was a great host; super friendly and outgoing person. Definitely would recommend this place. The site itself is BC camping at its finest.”

“Took a mountain bike rip around Cat Lake! Cheshire Cat was the trail we started on and it was fast fun and technical. Be prepared though toneide through camp sites! After we ended at the lake and took in some beautiful sites. Lots of people having a wonderful time - note only a few beach access points and a few small peers. A great day none the less!!”

“Stayed here July 20 when Elfin Lakes was fully booked. Basic camping area with about 15 elevated gravel tent pads, a bear box for food, and an outhouse. It's on a north-facing slope so even in late July half the sites were snow-covered, and the ponds themselves were frozen. Still acceptable for a night's sleep, especially if you want to get away from the crowds. Tons of mosquitos and blackflies, bring your bug spray! Good views of the Opal Cone and Garibaldi, and just a short hike down the hill is seldom-visited Mamquam Lake.”

“So beautiful but the last 20 min of hiking is somehow too difficult. It also has camping site. About 1 hour of driving to reach to the trail is off-roading and unpaved road.”

“23km is not that far if you have lots of friends! But good shoes is needed for sure. The view at top is OK but not stunning good. Good thing is there is a small chamber you can stay. I didn’t go in there so I can’t commend on how good is it. Some photo credits to my friend Ardis.”

“The lake is extremely beautiful. The rest of the hike is not particularly interesting and the trail is very long. The beginning of the trail could easily have gone up a hill cutting off a good kilometer and a half of the start.”

“Great hike for the intermediate hikers. Some section is very steep and challenging. Descending is not easy either so good hiking boots are recommended. It feels like a never ending Grouse Grind, but the view at the top is fantastic and worth the every effort to get up there.”

“Solid trail...not as big as I used to think of it. Can be done in a few hours. Gorgeous panoramic views. Panning across you see the Georgia straight, the Tantalus range, the squamish Valley, squamish and around to Garibaldi and Atwell.”

“This is a short (2 km or so) but scramble trail that leads hikers to vantages for overlooking Howe Sound, Squamish, and creek ravine.”

“Take the upper part of the Shannon basin trail not the lower unless you want the additional 3 or 4 km. Gradual but steady elevation gain. At about 1050m you'll get your first glimpses of the goat ridge mountains. A quick switchback and the whole ridge and valley opens up to you. Access to a backcountry loop, copilot and skypilot mountains.”

“Nice Lookout on the way to Whistler on the Sea to Sky Highway. Amazing view and can spend some time with family. I saw some scuba drivers in wet suits there and it was fun talking to them. The water looking extremely clean and I'm sure its interesting for a dive as well.”

“My most favourite place! It's a great spot to come for a BBQ and parking is free. You can also scuba dive and camp with the most amazing views!”

“Definitely worth it for the view. Took about 3 hours up and down for us with a quick break at the top. Not a lot of parking spaces available but we were able to find a spot. The beginning was a bit tough but towards the end it level off. I would definitely come back and complete this trail again.”
