(July 29, 2018, 1:29 am)Stayed here July 20 when Elfin Lakes was fully booked. Basic camping area with about 15 elevated gravel tent pads, a bear box for food, and an outhouse. It's on a north-facing slope so even in late July half the sites were snow-covered, and the ponds themselves were frozen. Still acceptable for a night's sleep, especially if you want to get away from the crowds.
Tons of mosquitos and blackflies, bring your bug spray! Good views of the Opal Cone and Garibaldi, and just a short hike down the hill is seldom-visited Mamquam Lake.
