We took our 15 year old Pomeranian Papillon cross to Dr. Lopez at her clinic in Whistler at about 1am. He was in respiratory distress and struggling to breathe from an exacerbation of tracheal collapse. She sedated him and supported his respirations. She made arrangements for emergency transfer to the Veterinary Specialist Clinic in Vancouver, started an IV, took blood and connected him to oxygen.

He is much improved and hopefully home soon. Without Dr. Lopez's expert compassionate care I do not think our dog would have made it through the night.

I have had many emergency’s over the years with my 10 year old mastiff. With all that, I have dealt with multiple vets in the corridor. None stand close to how virtuous Melinda is with her practice. She has been there for us threw three dire events and her calm and decisive manor is exactly what you want in a reliable vet in times of an emergency. When visiting another vet in the corridor for a routine checkup led to being told my dog had cancer and the next step was open him up with abdominal surgery to confirm it. I felt unsure of the decison and reached out to Melinda threw email for her advice. She responded immedialty with a phone call and calmed me down before referring me to specialists who simply did a ultrasound and some bloodwork to rule out the issue and saved my dog from a unnecessarily aggressive surgery that would of found nothing. She made no financial gain from this event and still reached out to see how he was doing after. We are lucky to have her in whistler.

I can't even express how thankful I am for Dr. Lopez! She was so helpful during our time of need and even followed up days later. YOU ARE THE BEST!

Very professional clarifying a business misunderstanding. Business development in a new venture is always risky (never a guarantee) which we all agreed to in advance, but it was not closed properly at your end. The reality of what actually transpired is more complex than you have suggested and the software developer would agree with me. That being said: I wish you all the best and consider the matter closed.

We were at our place in Whistler Nov 22. We have a 7 month old black Labrador retriever. My husband took him for a run and ball throwing in the area we live - Whistler Cay Heights. When he was walking back he noticed the dog was really agressive and almost uncontrollable. After being home we noticed that our dog was shaking especially his head. After that we noticed he could not stand straight - kept falling. Then he lost control of his bladder. I went online and found Dr. Lopez’s service. I phoned and Dr. Lopez answered. I couldn’t believe it. She told me she was almost sure it was discarded drugs that our dog had ingested. WHAT!!!! that had never even entered our mind. She was wonderful. Told us what to do and told us when we should contact her if certain things happened. Dr. Lopez was a life saver. We didn’t even think or know about drugs, she gave us advice and help and said she would be there if we needed her. After hanging up I went online and read about the symptoms that a dog has when ingesting drugs. My dog had all of them. I am so grateful because I now had a reason and a guideline to monitor my dog. Dr. Lopez, you were so right and thank you for helping us through such a horrible and difficult time.
