Shelter Point Distillery

Amazing distillery on Vancouver Island. The farm is huge and the distillery and tasting room are beautiful!

We tried just about everything and picked up a couple bottles to take home. Also 4 Tesla level 2 chargers nest the entrance which were great. Charge the car while enjoying some delicious single malt. Hell yeah!

What an amazing experience at the tasting room. Chris was like a new friend guiding us through the incredible expressions on offer. With a product that speaks for itself in quality Chris was the icing on the cake. Make sure to try them all; the classic single malt has found a permanent place on my shelf.

This is not my my mother's gin!

Today is International Gin Day! The distillery has just recently released it's first Gin, a botanical concoction, and to celebrate this day the distillery was open for gin tastings.

They open almost every for tastings, the focus was on gin. They were even offering up a classic gin and tonic.

My daughter and I went all in and had the classic g&t! I was pleasantly surprised as I had never been a fan of gin. The flavour was clean and refreshing was lingering notes of citrus and juniper. I was told that the tiny sprig of rosemary in our drinks was there to enhance the juniper.

Needless to say I bought my first bottle of gin! I think that it could be the first of many!

We also tried their Sunshine Liqueur - not too sweet with good spicy notes - I may have to go back for that! 😁

My father took me here to experience my first distillery tour. It was an amazing experience seeing my first copper stills, and the beautiful smells of the distillery. Staff were very kind and friendly, we would highly recommend this to any whiskey and booze lover.
