Our full day kayaking experience with Bill as a guide was absolutely amazing, we could not have asked for a more knowledgeable and friendly guide. While putting safety first at all times, we were able to have up close encounters with humpback wales, seals, otters, bald eagles, different starfishes, lots of rare seabirds, not to mention a jumping salmon that almost fell on our laps in the kayak. Bill was very generous at sharing lots of interesting information on the various marine life we saw. We first stopped for a delicious lunch (including dessert with fresh picked berries and whipped cream, miam!) and then in a lovely cove for swimming. He made us feel welcome, comfortable and safe while adapting the trip to our desire of exploring a great deal while covering a fair bit of distance. The view of the mountains in the backdrop were absolutely breathtaking, we could not have asked for more! See you next summer, we sure hope to be back.

5 sea stars for our guide Billy and the Quadra Island Kayaks staff! My partner and I were on a 3 day/2 night tour with 2 other guests. It was an epic and transformative trip. In addition to learning about the local eco-system I gained new kayaking skills. Billy is a knowledgeable and trusted guide. We quickly built trust as a group which was needed when we faced challenging conditions. I learned about team building, leadership, and communication.
There are many paths for a person to grow personally and professionally-taking a trip with Quadra Island Kayaks is one way.
Thanks Billy, Cass, trip mates, and staff for the great experience. I'll reflect on the trip's lessons for months to come.
    (and...the food was great!!)
    With respect and gratitude--

It was our first time sea kayaking and we had a blast! My friend had a bit of canoeing experience and I had almost none. Our guide, Bill, was very knowledgeable, patient, easy going, and fun! We felt very safe and comfortable with him. We made two stops at some lovely islands, saw eagles, starfish, jellies, and jumping fish on our half-day paddle. It was a magical experience in nature and now I can’t wait to kayak again. LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and good with people of all bodies, abilities, and experience levels. Highly recommend!

Cass was a wonderful guide, super knowledgeable and easy going. We felt completely safe out on the water with her guidance and could tell she enjoys her job and is well tuned to her surroundings. The kayak itself was great and comfortable. We paddled to view a seal colony (from a respectful distance) and then on to turtle island for a swim, short hike and bite to eat. The snacks provided were great. We really appreciated all the photos Cass took for us. We left the experience wishing we had booked a longer tour!
