I had a site on the water here which was great for views with my morning coffee and evenings around the fire. The campground itself is bare bones... There is no running water (so make sure to bring your own), and there is only 2 outhouses at the campground (1 is wheelchair accessible). The beach is probably one of the worst I've seen in Manitoba based on it's condition. I stayed here since Tulabi Falls was booked up, and spent most of my time around Tulabi Falls and Booster Lake since there isn't anything to do at this campground in terms of amenities. The road going in (PR 315) was in bad shape but my car had no problems with it and I've seen worse in Manitoba. Wouldn't recommend this campground to those with kids, but would recommend it simply as a place to sleep for the night for those who want to explore the area but are unable to book a site at Tulabi Falls (since it always seems to book up so fast...).
The public bathroom was not only gross, it had a giant hornet's nest on the back of it. The campsites themselves were very good and spacious and if you had one on the water you got a lot of mosquitoes but a nice view.
Very beautiful scenery, great for exploring, water is great for swimming, peaceful when you avoid the loud people. (If you are going to party, just go camp in the forest or your own yard. Not at a campground at 1 am although that has been rare.)
Great place.
Nice small campground. Just do not take sites 4,6,8. There are on the inclined surface (you can find different sites in the attached pictures). It's my first place where I was able to watch sunrise and sunset from the one place. This campground has less bugs than others campgrounds in the Nopiming provincial park, because the wind from the lake blows them away. We went canoeing from the beach to the Tulabi Falls. This whole trip took 3.5 hours.
Great lake. Poor beach. Nice clean sites and fish filleting station. Still lots of fun but nice soft sand on the beach would've been nice. Also "no mooring at the dock" which I get because it's a popular boat launch for cabin owners and day trippers. We beached our boat but all others pulled theirs out for the night. That's extra work and a pain. There isnt adequate beach space for the number of boats that could potentially be in the campground. More dock space or more beach space is required to fix this issue.
