“A fantastic parking lot. Without water and toilet. The river is right next to it, so we bathed even though the current was very strong. Hardly any people, peace, my space...”

“One of my favorite campgrounds because it is off the beaten track so it is quiet. Yet it has many activities that we enjoyed: miniature golf with courses having names unique to the park, an arboretum, visitor centre with displays of wildlife and photos of animals in the area, a gift store, and the Pine Fort IV general store that even sells camp stoves and sleeping bags. The snack shop sells excellent ice cream, I recommend cherry. Spruce Woods Provincial Park is a dark sky preserve, the only one in Manitoba. I took a 25 minute star trail picture in the middle of the night.”

“Awesome campground. Full service. Miles of trails. No office or reservations; bring cash or cheque for the deposit box. First come first serve to sites (electric and basic)”

“Had a fantastic weekend at this campground. Large trees and large sites, many with full service, make camping here an enjoyable time. The only drawbacks we encountered were.... The pool was clean, but un-heated, making a cool experience. But on the right day this would be fine. The purchase price for firewood was fairly steep for what you get. The water, from their hookup point at the campsites, is not for drinking (which is understandable) BUT it was very cloudy and orange in colour even after putting it through our camping filter. Within a single weekend.... Used up a semi-new filter. Cannot say that I have had that happen before. And getting someone on the phone to book a site was a bit difficult, but they did always call back, even if it was the next day. These are all smallish issues when we look at the experience we had this weekend. Would we go back.... You bet.”

“Great camping sites, many amenities to try and places around to explore, cafes, restaurants, convenience store and watercraft to rent. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The lake water is crystal clear and the fact that the lake was made by a meteorite makes it more interesting. 🤓”

“I loved this campground and stayed for a week, it is very quiet and the ground is kept so well. Bathroom building is quite old but shower is hot. 20$ dry, 25$ water/electric”

“I am local to the area, and is likely the only way I knew about the place. With that aside, I was pleased with our stay here. Campground was taken care of, and everything you need is easy to find. There are cabins and serviced/non-serviced camp sites available for rent. Prices are within reason when comparing other similar campground. The dock and boat storage area is in good shape and functional. Fishing was a tad bit slow, but that's fishing, not the lodge's fault. Being around the lake car apparently be a bit hazardous, but they had the path to the river well marked and provided a map. The owners were really great and very helpful. The atmosphere from the owners and fellow campers up there made the experience really pleasant. I really had nothing negayive to say. Its not new, is not "fancy". But it doesn't need to be.”

“Lovely campground situated near the lake and a quaint beach. Be aware that Highway #1 can be heard day and night, which might be bothersome to some. Given its popularity, the area can get quite crowded, especially the beaches. There's significant boat traffic on the lake, so exercise caution. It's quieter during weekdays, which might be the best time to visit. All essential amenities are available. Though we stayed in a camper and didn't utilize many of them, the ones we did use were fully functional. Nearby, there are eateries and a well-equipped hardware store, handy for camper repairs. We also enjoyed the local beer from the brewery and their delicious dry ribs. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.”

“Very nice and clean campground. The washrooms are particularly clean. The showers each have a seperate door which was a bonus. Our only issue was that the showers didn't have much hot water, but that could have been sure to too many people using the showers at the same time.”

“Nice little campground offering clean washrooms and if you let the water run for a bit hot showers. Did hear trains but in the distance so not really a bother. I would imagine it would be pretty busy during the summer months. There is a small playground behind the camping area. $20/night for 15 amp sites 6-10. These sites are tight on that side and our hydro didnt work but as we were the only camper had no problem for the price - not bad! and across the street from a rec center/arena park area! Offers water and a dump station too - 👍”

“Overall ok campground. We stayed in the basic tent camping that had large sites. The powered sites seemed crammed together. One annoying thing is the fire ‘pits’ are movable and when people have done that, the staff didn’t clean the area well so there was charcoal laying on the ground that my kids stepped in and brought into the tents. Campsite is right next to a swampy area meaning there were tons of mosquitoes. Showers are paid -$2 got you maybe 8-10 minutes but never got above cold. They also were not draining very well so there was pooled water outside the shower area making it difficult to not get your clothes wet when trying to change. Bathrooms were clean. Wifi is near bathrooms but there was strong cell signal. Not a fan of being forced to pay a ‘provincial park pass’ when this campsite was much of a provincial park other then a beach that I didn’t use. Also you can’t buy a single day as they ‘expire at midnight that day’ so I had to by a multi day pass.”

“I love tenting here! The beach is the best around in my opinion. I love coming here and relaxing. We like to be very simple and low key when we tent. I get the same slot every year and it is perfect. The bathrooms are also great!”

“Best campground I have EVER been to. I stayed in yurt #4 and it was nothing short of amazing. Check out the view! There is no running water out here, but there are electrical sites you can book in bay 2. The fishing was great!”

“Nice small campground. Just do not take sites 4,6,8. There are on the inclined surface (you can find different sites in the attached pictures). It's my first place where I was able to watch sunrise and sunset from the one place. This campground has less bugs than others campgrounds in the Nopiming provincial park, because the wind from the lake blows them away. We went canoeing from the beach to the Tulabi Falls. This whole trip took 3.5 hours.”

“We took our family here for our annual cottage weekend trip. James and Dara were absolutely amazing hosts they made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire weekend. We had 6 adults 3 children under the age of 5. We rented the pontoon boat, which was equipped with navigation and waypoints on safe places to go without worry of hitting rocks. We rented two cottages, the pike palace and the perch. The cottages when we arrived were clean and well stocked with supplies. They also had ample space for activities to do inside if the weather turns out to be less favorable. The beach when we arrived was freshly raked, which shows the level of detail and care management takes to their lodge. We typically go to a new resort every year, but we never felt quite at home like we did at Eagles' nest landing. We will be coming back again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.”

“Me and my family loves this place. It's quite, clean and well maintained. The convenience store is just a few feet away in case you need something. This time we had an opportunity to watched the aurora borealis. It was an amazing experience! If you love fishing this is the perfect place for you. You won't be disappointed.”

“Camp sites are nice, good sizes, amenities are on the very poor side of things can definitely tell the lack of care very gross washrooms even right after there so called cleaning. Most outhouses or Porta potties are kept cleaner shower heads broken in two of the showers and that sucks because they are coin operated, so was stuck using them. The beach was nice very beautiful to look out too and the hiking trails are great for kids. left early because of the gross was washroom”

“Stayed here in May 2023 with some friends during a weekend bike packing trip. Tammy checked us in after hours and was very accommodating hospitable. Rod the owner is also very helpful and welcoming. You fell that small town charm here. Clean facilities, hot water, friendly seasonal campers. If I pass through again, I would like to try the bunkies (see other reviews for photos).”
