“La Fiesta Cafecito is an awesome place to eat if you've got some time to chill out over dinner. The for is made to order so be prepared to wait a while but it's worth it. First off, make sure you make a reservation. The restaurant is small and busy on weekends. The food is more authentic than North American. Try one of the combo platters to get a broader taste of the menu. The place is family run, so sometimes you see younger extended family helping out ;) The patriarch (grandfather and owner) will sometimes dress up in a formal/cultural El Salvadorian garb and go table to table and sing Spanish slings with his guitar. I think he's awesome but some patrons get self-conscious with all the added attention.”

“The first bite blew up my taste buds! I chewed slowly savouring every flavour explosion from then on. I still can’t tell you which side I liked better because it was the best pizza of my fifty-two year existence. I couldn’t make up my mind there were so many awarding choices to choose from. Finally, Diana helped me decide on a two-sided pizza and a complementing beer choice. You see I was compelled visit after reading for years about Diana's amazing pizza's in Dan Kennedy's books and newsletters, I am happy to have had the opportunity to visit her wonderful Cucina and Lounge. I’m now plotting ways to travel back to Winnipeg from Toronto for chance to eat another pizza.”

“My new go to for sushi in the South of Winnipeg. Some stand out rolls were the TNT, Rainbow, and Lobster. Nicely cooked rice, fresh ingredients, and friendly staff. As well as reasonable prices. Although, the spicy tuna in the Spring Tuna roll tasted like canned tuna, won't be ordering any with spicy tuna again. I look forward to trying some of their other rolls next time.”

“Carbone on St Anne's Rd is one of our go to local restaurants. The staff are always welcoming and the atmosphere is comfortable. But it is the food that we enjoy. Last evening we began with the Grilled Cauliflower, a first time trial. The Cauliflower needed to be warmer. It had a nice charcoal grill on the florets, nicely complimented by the mildly lemon flavoured hummus. The only jarring note were the dried chickpeas that were meant to add texture but only added an unpleasant crunch that made me concerned that I was breaking a portion of a tooth at each bite. Perhaps a some grilled pumpkin seeds would add the necessary crunch and flavour. And I still stand by my opening statement that the food is very enjoyable. We had a caesar and the arugula salad. Their salads are always fresh and the vinaigrettes are delicious. We went with the Old White Pizza, adding prosciutto, and it was cooked to perfection. If you have not tried a Carbone ,I urge you to try them out.”

“It was fairly busy tonight, but even so the service took well longer than it should have. The food was delicious and the portions were plenty. They don't serve coffee which was a bummer. I really like coffee. The Red River Roll was really good. I recommend it as well as the crazy shrimp roll. The seating is a little tight but the ambiance makes up for it. Overall I like it there.”

“We took our son and his girlfriend, who are both young chefs, to Harth for our sin's birthday. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing. We shared some items and had our own mains. Myblamb shank was delicious! Our Chef guests wondered how the servers liked all the little alcoves with one side against a wall. Just wondering!”

“I have dined here three times, each and every time I have had the complete pleasure of gracious welcoming staff, all of whom share the responsibility of getting my meal to my guests and myself all at one moment and with grace and professionalism. The cuisine is an elevated experience as well, with true Italian nuances and gentle combinations that highlight each and every item on the menu. I have several recommendations to friends to sample their fare, all of whom have enjoyed their evenings in this true pearl in Winnipeg. The only sad item is (for me) its southern location!”
