Niakwa Trail

Address: Fermor Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2M, Canada

Park

“Niakwa trail is one of a handful that run alongside a major roadway. As such, many cyclists use these trails as a safer alternative to riding on the highway. Due to this, you should be mindful to keep to the right of the trail because there can be many blind corners when the trees are in bloom. The trail's upkeep could be better as there is frequently a lot of litter along the side and plently of overgrown grass. At least it is paved and fairly wide in most sections. That being said, the trail is an excellent way to get to the St. Vital Library, the YMCA, and even Southdale Shopping Centre. I wouldn't recommend taking this trail alone at night as there is a lack of lighting. All in all for commuting, fitness, and recreation, Niakwa trail proves to be one of the better options in the neighborhood. ”
