“Full disclosure, I visited this gallery because Elizabeth Sellors is a friend of mine and I admire her work. This gallery is a long ways out of my way but it is a really nice place and I'm glad I had a reason to visit. There was a wide range of work on display and available, from paintings through digital to ceramics and everything was reasonably priced for original art pieces. I had a nice chat with the owner about a very old family heirloom I was looking at having conserved and re framed and I liked his professionalism and attitude. Now, the real reason I went in the first place was the exhibition of a local artist's works. I've included a sampling of her paintings here and you can see that they are an interesting mix of realism and abstractionism that all speak to a love of painting and a love of the countryside. I've heard of almost all the sites she has painted, and have visited a good number of them myself in my wanderings. Her images make me want to visit the ones I haven't been to yet which is a pretty good indication that her work is of the highest quality. I am particularly impressed with her rending of the cloudscapes as they are not only realistic, but I think very accurate from a meteorological aspect. I am still working on fluffy white happy clouds myself so to see an image and recognize stratus, cumulus or stratocumulus in the painting is impressive. If you live near St Vital Centre I recommend you pop in and take in her exhibition and check out the gallery.”

“This Gallery regularly pleases and is always worth a visit. It's not large, but the eclectic exhibitions are usually worth a visit. Don't forget to check the yard. Even in the nighttime the outside is neat. These 2 exhibitions are by 3 artists. Sheila Spence and Gilles Hebert have an exhibition Back to Paradise. Both artists have displayed a series of items and images that conjure up memories of pleasant times and fun places. Spence's photographs of family outings, mostly at Grand Beach, are both nostalgic and evocative of family get togethers. Hebert's collection of collections of found memories is like looking at myriad time capsules of not only people but cultures as well. There are some oddities, check out the rocking chair off to the side. Freya Perron is an artist working in textiles. Here she is using the soft textures of woolly like things to create the shapes more usually associated with rocks and other hard objects. In addition, the works are all mounted and framed in exquisite fashion, the framer even gets a nod at the entrance. It is interesting that at first they don't seem like much, but you quickly realize that they are very attractive and pleasing. (Possibly this is a result of my background since there is a strong resemblance to Star Trek tribbles) Almost with a sense of chamber music, they would provide a pleasant atmosphere to any setting. It's not a large Gallery, but it is always worth visiting if you're in the area, and very often worth the effort even if you are not. Bus service is very good, so you don't need to worry about parking. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, especially Chaise Lounge just down the street.”

“I’ve had several tattoos done here at Tattoos For The Individual. The staff is so kind and welcoming. They’re there to answer any questions whenever I’ve had any, they’re all very professional and informed. Cleanest shop I’ve ever been in as well. I’ve had one half sleeve done by Kurt, he created an amazing custom design of Medusa for me. His work is absolutely phenomenal beyond words, he’s extremely professional and makes the whole experience enjoyable. He is absolutely one of the best tattoo artists out there. I’ve also had 2 tattoos done by their apprentice Jack, I love both of my tattoos from him & I would get more from him any day! he’s very passionate about tattooing & makes the experience memorable and comfortable. Definitely recommend you check them out.”

“Really great experience during my first visit. I was immediately introduced to all the staff. Minis are a little pricier than other stores but I still came out a few. The prepainted minis are on the cheap side and you can handle them before you buy. The store is out of my way but I would come here again if I could.”

“These guys are great. I had a photo framed here last month and was impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. The associate helping me (I think he might have been the owner) made helpful recommendations, and was very transparent about pricing without trying to up-sell me. I really appreciated that since it was my first time getting something framed and had no clue about anything. The end product looked perfect. Highly recommend this place!”

“The Pavilion at Assiniboine park is an excellent art gallery with three floors of exhibitions of both local and internationally acclaimed artists. At the moment there is a small exhibition about inspiration to Winnie the Pooh as well as several local talents. All are well worth at least an hour or so of your time.”

“Great place to do fun activities they hold. You can often watch Movies there, feed the ducks some bread. The place is a nice place to go biking around with friends and just get away from everything that is annoying you at home.”

“I’ve been coming here for years. They sell several types of paintings and pictures as well as provide a number of framing options (i.e., from several hundred-dollar solid wood frames, to cheaper composite and foam board options). Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The front of the store is a bit more expensive, but the back is generally half the price if you’re looking for something cheap to add some colour to a wall. There is quite a diverse array of picture options ranging from posters for college dorm room walls to large aesthetic paintings for living rooms.”
